Two House Democrats competing for the same seat in California had to be separated by a sheriff’s deputy after getting into a physical altercation at a debate on Thursday in L.A.

With both fighting for their political career, things turned nasty between congressmen Brad Sherman and Howard Berman as they begun shouting at each other and appeared to be on the verge of a smackdown.

It became so tense between them, that a deputy had to step in to make sure things didn’t get out of hand.
