Aaaaah, Home Sweet Home: Take a tour of NYC’s $100 million penthouse

Got a $100 million to spare? No, we don’t either… but it’s always fascinating to see how the other half live.

The most-expensive apartment in the country — a triplex, wrap-around penthouse on W. 56th Street — has just gone on the market for a whopping $100 million!

The listing, by Raphael De Niro, the son of actor Robert De Niro is on the 73rd through 76th floor atop CitySpire on 150 West 56th.

The 8,000-square-foot octagon-shaped apartment boasts a private, three-story elevator; a wrap-around terrace on all three floors that offers 360-degree views of the city.

Other features include a dining room that can seat 20; a silver closet; and a  wine room that can hold more than 1,000 bottles.

But looking at these photos, we wonder: Is the apartment as impressive as one would imagine for such a staggering price tag?

What do you think?

I was just in that neighborhood last week, and while I’m sure the views are great I think the inside is weak. I’m curious what the actual sell price will be…but I wouldn’t buy it even if I had $100 mil laying around with nothing else better to do!
