After 30 years Spago Beverly Hills is still one of the town’s power institutions. Wolfgang Puck’s legendary restaurant re-opened for lunch this week after a full renovation by designer Waldo Fernandez.
The industry-heavy crowd enjoying small plates from Wolfgang’s new farm to table menu, Jerry Weintraub; Darren Starr with Dennis Erdman and Dennis’s adorable 2 year-old baby; Brett Ratner, and stylist and television producer Mary Alice Haney enjoying an afternoon lunch with actresses Sasha Alexander and Molly Sims, who looked fabulous just three months after having a baby. Former psychology professor and best-selling author, Angella Nazarian was among the chicest women in the room, in Giambatista Vali pants and an off white Chado Ralph Rucci jacket. Alexandra Von Furstenberg image director for DVF and owner of her own contemporary furniture company, shared a quiet meal with Dax Miller.
BWR’s publicist Gary Mantoosh commanded a table as did, ICM’s Carol Goll, and CAA’s Michael Kives who brought Tom Werner, chairman of the Boston Red Sox.
The room was teeming by 1:30PM and Wolfagang was seen chatting with talent manager Stephanie Simon who sat with legendary producer Cary Woods, Loeb & Loeb partner Carolyn Hunt who was recently featured in Variety Magazine’s Women’s Impact Report, Partners Trust real estate dynamo Tracy Maltas who sat with Cory Weiss, a Partner and Director at Partner’s Trust, and managing principal and power lawyer of Phillips Lerner, Stacey Phillips.
The patio was abuzz with the energy of a party and guests enthusiastically table-hopped. Among them, Peter Morton with sons Harry and Matthew Morton; Marcy Medina, Bureau Chief of WWD; leading plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, Dr. Raj Kanodia; and Lara Shriftman, principal of PR firm Harrison & Shriftman dining with friends talent manager Harriet Sternberg, Ally B, decorator Mary Ta, television personality Thea Andrews and Lesley McKenzie, Angeleno Magazine editor-in-chief.
Archetype Capital’s Mike Reinstein dined with chef Lulu Powers, Dancing with the Stars Aiden Turner, producer and Benton Weinstock.
Pucks wife Gelila Puck, who curated the art for the restaurant was enjoying lunch with friends.
It was another starry night for Puck’s iconic restaurant, and all for a good cause.
