Had she been just your atypical American mom, her letter in the Springfield News-Leader in which she urged Christians to throw their support behind Mitt Romney and spoke out against Obama and gay marriage, wouldn’t have garnered international headlines.
But being her son is Brad Pitt, Jane has found herself at the center of an ugly backlash. So much so, that she has been the subject of death threats.
A WND story says Jane Pitt “has been scared into silence by the hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her” letter.
Despite her son being a huge supporter of same-sex marriage, Jane wrote in the article: “Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
Even if you don’t agree with her views, America is supposed to allow the freedom of speech and she certainly shouldn’t be subjected to this sort of behavior…. do you agree?
