Bigger is better, especially if you’re a stylish gal on the go.
Or a multitasking mommy.
Taking a leaf out of the celebs book, the tote of the moment comes from Gerard Darel.
This week, Jessica Alba ran errands in LA with daughter Haven carrying a Gerard Darel Simple Bag Canvas and Capri, while Olivia Munn was spotted twice in two days in NYC toting around her Gerard Darel Simple Riviera Tote.
Other celebrity fans include: Naomi Watts, Alessandra Ambrosio, Emmy Rossum and Katherine Heigl.
This weekend, Fergie showed off her rocker glam style in a Zadig & Voltiare Charlie Skull Shirt while leaving the recording studio in LA. We’ve spotted the brands signature skull on a variety of styles from cashmere sweaters, dresses, scarves, bags and more.
Other celebs who have been spotted in French lines include Nicole Richie, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Vanessa Hudgens, Hilary Duff, Jessica Biel, Naomi Watts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, January Jones and more.
Forget the heels, when it comes to the weekend, it’s all about comfort.
And follow in the footsteps of Hollywood’s leading ladies by donning Yosi Samra’s flats.
Vanessa Hudgens stepped out this past week wearing the Two Tone Pony Hair Ariels. Other celebrities who have been spotted in similar loafer styles from the line include January Jones, Kourtney Kardashian, Amanda Seyfried, and Ali Larter.
Reese Witherspoon accessorized her adorable orange frock with yellow tulips and DITA sunnies, while out and about in Westwood on Wednesday, then again while shopping with hubby in Santa Monica on Wednesday, looking fresh as a spring flower.
We love this sunglass style, which looks good on almost everyone.
The temperatures are soaring but it is easy to keep effortlessly cool by following the lead of fashion darling Sarah Jessica Parker.
The actress, who played the beloved Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City”,stepped out in NYC wearing Black Orchid by Julien Jarmoune’s ‘Black Jewel Skinny’ in Vintage Camo. Known for her funky style, the actress paired her cuffed her skinnies with a neon top for a fun look.
Wanting to beat the heat this summer? Try Black Orchid’s camo cutoffs!
He is widely regarded as the “hottest hairdresser in Hollywood” and tends to the locks off stars such as Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion.
And of Ken Paves work, Victoria Beckham once said: “He has the most amazing gift to make women feel beautiful inside and out.”
But despite his hugely successful career, which has seen him become a regular guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and contributor to Oprah.com, and has done makeovers for “The X Factor”, and “The Biggest Loser,” and the dizzying star-studded world in which he inhabits, Ken is refreshingly down to earth.
In fact, when we caught up with him at the book signing for his latest tome “You are Beautiful, A Beauty Guide for Real Women,” (Sterling Publishing Co., June 2013) on Sunday at Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica, we were decidedly struck by just how genuine he is.
Ken talking about his new tome this past Sunday
The first thing you notice about the über stylist is not his hair, but the fact that when he conducts any type of Q & A, he also communicates in ASL (American Sign Language).
He does this, he says, because he has friends who are deaf, and incidentally, he also went to school to teach the deaf before enrolling in beauty school.
“Sign language is a beautiful dance,” he explains.
It is easy to see why his A-list clientele consider him to be one of their closest confidants — he has the natural ability to put anyone at ease and the kind of personality that you could entrust with your secrets.

But his focus his shifting from just the glittering world of showbiz, to more specifically, trying to empower young women to embrace their own beauty and see their own talents.
“Everyone woman is beautiful in their own way and they should not think less of themselves or judge themselves solely based on their looks. Women need to love themselves first, look at what they have been given and embrace it,” he says.
And of what inspires him?
“Each time a woman sits down in a chair in front of me, I am inspired,” he reveals.
He is also frank about his own insecurities that previously plagued him and he says that he would collect every cover he did to try to validate his work and own self- worth.
Those days are becoming somewhat of a distant memory as he eyes a future towards influencing the younger generation and inspiring them to feel beautiful and appreciate their own uniqueness.

His latest project is his new book “You Are Beautiful – A Beauty Guide for Real Women”. In it, Ken takes his experience from years in the business and translates it into a practical beauty guide for real women. I was sent a copy a few weeks ago for review, and I was really pleased with this book.
“You Are Beautiful” gives a bit of Ken’s backstory- his origins in Michigan, journey to school and then Miami to work for famed hairstylist Oribe, and then eventually to his own fruitful solo career. Along the way he picked up innumerable style secrets, which he now shares with all of us! I love the makeover section, where real women of all different ages, sizes, shapes, and color get a makeover playing up each of their own strengths and natural beauty. This section reflects what I think is the overall message of the book – that there is not one strict type of beauty. That we are all lovely, and this book helps us to find ways to make our unique beauty stand out.
Its not just a hair book, either. “You are Beautiful” covers it all – hair, makeup, and style with the help of some of Ken’s friends, like Stila Cosmetics makeup artist Sara Lucero.
Peppered with tips, tricks, and inspirational anecdotes about beautiful women Ken has met along the way, “You Are Beautiful” is definitely worth a read for any beauty enthusiast – or any woman who needs a boost finding her own inner and outer beauty!

It seems girls everywhere really do want to emulate their idol, Taylor Swift.
So much so, that her celebrity fragrances have been a runaway hit with her teen fans and saw her honored on Wednesday night with the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award at the 41st Annual Fragrance Foundation Awards, which is the equivalent of the “Oscars” in the fragrance world.
In her just two years in the fragrance industry, Taylor has launched some of the most fan-loved celebrity fragrances, including Wonderstruck, the top-selling celebrity fragrance of 2011. Wonderstruck told the story of the moment you first meet that special someone, and was one of the most successful fragrance launches in recent years.
“My first fragrance, Wonderstruck, it was all about a day dream, a fantasy, this romantic ideal that we all have,” Taylor said when accepting her award. “I love telling stories, I love starting at the beginning and adding things as you go. This is truly a nice page to add to that story.”
The award commends Taylor for promoting the world of fragrance through her accessibility and genuine connection with her fans and she has now launched another one called Taylor by Taylor Swift!
Despite her love life not being the stuff of fairy tales, Taylor must be doing something right — at just 23 she already has a net worth of $80 million.
