On Monday, Donald Trump taunted and teased that he had a ”gigantic” bombshell to reveal about President Obama and that it would “âpossibly” change the Presidential race.
“IÂ have something very, very big concerning the president of the United States,â Trump said on Fox & Friends.
The big reveal is set for tomorrow, and today (Tuesday) Trump has been touting the “October Surprise” on Twitter.
“This is not a media event or about Donald J. Trump— this is about the United States of America, ” he wrote late Tuesday afternoon.
The news comes as earlier Tuesday, Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who appears on CNBCâs talkshow âSquawkboxâ where Trump is often a commentator, took to the social networking site to reveal what he believes to be the big presidential bombshell
“High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife,” he Tweeted to his 48,000 fans.
The “Gnome” in question is likely to be Trump himself and it is alleged that the mogul will claim that the documents show the First Lady and the President were, at one point in their two decades of marriage, seriously considering splitting up.
While it certainly wouldn’t be the first time such claims have been made, the fact that journalists, who are employed 24/7 to dig up dirt on politicians, haven’t discovered this “said” evidence yet, it does cast a shadow of doubt over Kass’ claims of what Trump will reveal.
And then there is that infamous “birther” conspiracy which turned out to reveal that Obama was born in the U.S.
Whatever Trump has up his sleeve, if anything at all, is anyone’s guess.
But the Obama campaign don’t seem to be losing sleep over it: On Monday a spokesman of the Obama campaign sent the NY Daily News a link that directly goes to a bumper sticker that shows the President next to a birth certificate with the caption reading, “Made in the USA.”
