Dizzy Stars Kick Up their Heels - It was a night of celebration and dance, but one major name was missing from the event.....find out who inside

It was a day and night of stars, dancing and fundraising at the Dizzy Feet Foundations’ “Celebration of Dance” gala presented by Ovation this weekend in L.A. Oscar honoree Shirley MacLaine hobnobbed with a star-studded roster of performers that included: Maria Menounos, Derek Hough, Ryan Guzman, Misha Gabriel and Kathryn McCormack.

After dinner, the Dizzy Feet Foundation auctioned the opportunity for one dance with one of the following  celebrities who volunteered to help raise additional money to support DFF’s programs and scholarships: Ricki Lake, Harry Shum, Jr., Maria Menunous, Derek Hough, Desmond Richardson, Summer Glau, Allison Holker and tWitch. 

Each year the fundraising gala helps support the foundation’s mission to advance dance education through scholarships and community programs.

We’ll dance to that….

On a sidenote: 

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Celebration of Dance Gala was due also to be hosted by Katie Holmes, but in light of the current intense speculation surrounding her private life, she pulled out.

Our source tells us, “She and Nigel spoke beforehand and agreed that her presence would distract from what the evening was supposed to be about – dance and the arts.”
