Coupled with the fact that they are said to enjoy an ”intense sexual chemistry”, it comes as no surprise that today Chris Brown chose his ex Rihanna over his current love Karrueche Tran.
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Chris Brown said in a statement on Thursday. “I’d rather be single allowing us to be both be happy in our lives.”
If the truth be known, Rihanna and Brown have secretly been seeing each other for some time– it was only in the past few days in NYC, that the rumors of a reconciliation between the former pop powerhouse became too loud to ignore.
On Monday night they were caught kissing, dancing and even disappearing in to a bathroom together for nearly 20 minutes at Meatpacking club Griffin.
Then, she was spotted leaving the Gansevoort Park Hotel, followed just 10 minutes by Brown. They were later seen together at the Jay-Z concert at the Brooklyn Barclays Center on Wednesday, in the VIP section watching the gig (we are sure Jay is none too pleased about these latest developments).
This week’s culmination of events led to the dumping of Tran, but these sneaky twosome have been plotting their return for sometime.
Rihanna’s Oprah interview, where she professed to Brown being the “love of her life”, was intended to gently warm her fans into the fact that she was not over him– and still very much besotted by him.
“They are already somewhat together, and yes the interview was a way of them getting their fans to accept that they will soon be back in a relationship,” our source, who had witnessed the pair making out all over New York, told us after that controversial interview.
Their rendezvous have been going on for so long now– and they never stop loving each other, despite that “pesky” little restraining order out against the singer after he was charged with assault after hitting her at a pre-Grammy party in 2009.
“They have an incredible sexual connection, and they are obsessed with each other and, yes, they have been intimate,” the source added at the time.
As for Tran, she was always “jealous” of Rihanna, but as the third wheel in the relationship, she didn’t have much choice but to grin and bear the constant humiliation.
We predicted the reconciliation of Rihanna and Brown towards the end of August this year with this blind item….unfortunately, and we stress that word, we turned out to be right…..
