All eyes were on Matthew McConaughey yesterday as he teamed up with P&G’s second annual GIVE Education campaign at Venice High School. The hunky star was on hand to help ignite discussion surrounding America’s dropout crisis and to raise funds for Communities In Schools (CIS)
The actor, who is soon to be dad for the third time, kicked off the press conference at the school where he highlighted the importance of mentorship and encouraged consumers to get, give and save with a P&G rebate that gives back to CIS.
In support of this effort, McConaughey led some inspiring Venice High School students through an exercise drill to demonstrate the impact of an active, healthy lifestyle and a trusted mentor when it comes to keeping kids in school, and Billy Barrera was there to catch it all on tape.

FYI: Consumers can easily help “School the Nation” when they Buy, Give and Get. By simply purchasing $25 worth of select P&G products, consumers will get a $5 rebate by mail, and P&G will give $5 to CIS on their behalf. In addition, for each August 26 P&G brandSAVER coupon redeemed, P&G will donate two cents to CIS, uncapped – allowing people to give back, while saving money.
