the IFP, Calvin Klein Collection & Euphoria Calvin Klein Celebrate Women in Film at the 65th Cannes Film Festival event.

A slew of famous faces turned out for what was one of the hottest tickets in town.

And, we have the inside track of what went down at this utterly glamorous event.

Diane Kruger & Joshua Jackson

After having a romantic dinner for two, true gentlemen Joshua Jackson escorted his girlfriend Diane Kruger, to the IFP, euphoria Calvin Klein, & Calvin Klein Collection soiree celebrating women in independent film. As Diane made her way into the event, he kept an eye on her, making sure she was ok and let her have the spotlight on the red carpet. As a judge at the Cannes Film Festival this year, Diane was focused on what she loves the most. She said, “All of us put so much heart into film making. It’s hard to judge one film against the other.” After Joshua quickly grabbed her attention and lead her to a golf cart that took them to the main part of the event. He seated her in the front, and hopped on the back, standing as her yelled “Viola! Go fast.”

Jessica Chastain & Shailene Woodley

New best friends Shailene Woodley and Jessica Chastain ran towards each other screaming of joy and gave one another the longest hug at the entrance of the event to the IFP, Calvin Klein Collection, & euphoria Calvin Klein soiree celebrating women in independent film. The two jumped up and down, while Jessica said loudly “We have too much to talk about” and Shailene replied, “I know, so glad you’re here.” She later told a guest that she keeps seeing Jessica at parties and that when she does, her heart chakra opens up a million times for her. She also gave her a ton of compliments on her powerful acting. Shailene came with a few friends, but quickly plopped herself on the coach next to Jessica to catch up, by the time the clock hit 1:00 a.m. the two were dancing away into the night barefoot at a private mention in the hills of Cannes.

Jessica Chastain ended with this quote about women in film, “inspiring is when someone is at the top of their game and they do more.” Shailene followed with, “(it takes) women beyond the physical plane.”

Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, & Isla Fischer  

Funny man Chris Rock kept the jokes coming as he entertained both Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts at the IFP,Calvin Klein Collection, & euphoria Calvin Klein soiree – making them both burst out laughing. Ben later gave Naomi and the other starlets onsite to celebrate women in independent film a compliment, saying they all have “angelic faces.” Naomi headed over to embrace her dear friend Isla Fischer after hanging with the boys; the two caught up on each other’s busy lives.

Lara Stone & David Schwimmer

Lara Stone’s comedian husband David Walliams was bragging to David Schwimmer about his wife being the new face of euphoria Calvin Klein. The two just celebrated their anniversary in Porto Fino before arriving to Cannes.

Other guests included Jada Pinkett and Alec Baldwin to name just a few.

Her beauty sets the big screen alight, but for Jessica Alba, her most important role is that of a mom.

Yesterday, we caught up with the actress taking her daughters Honor and Haven Garner out for a shopping spree at Kitson Kids in Los Angeles, CA.

Having children prompted the 31-year-old’s involvement with The Honest Company, a line of organic, toxin-free products for babies in which she’s partnered with Christopher Gavigan, former CEO and executive director of the nonprofit Healthy Child, Healthy World and author of a book of the same name, subtitled “Creating a Cleaner, Greener, Safer Home.”

Her songs helped defined the decade of disco. But, sadly, Donna Summers has died at the age of 63, reports TMZ.com.

According to website, the five-time-Grammy winner was battling cancer, but tried to hide her illness from her fans.

The star, known for such hits as “I Feel Love”, “Last Dance” and”Bad Girls”, passed away in Florida, though her spokesperson has yet to confirm the news.

The singer, whose real name was LaDonna Gaines, was said to be putting the finishing touches on her new album

She was a five-time Grammy Award winner and the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the US Billboard chart.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “obesity is one of today’s most blatantly visible – yet most neglected – public health problems.”

Regionally, in the Middle East, the percentage of obese men and women is 13 percent and 24.5 percent, respectively. Additionally, some 70 percent of UAE residents are classed as overweight or obese and Kuwaiti women are placed 5^th in worldwide obesity.

In an effort to stamp out the rampant rise of obesity in the United Arab Emirates, leading American Bariatric surgeon Dr. Carson Liu is set to open his first clinic in Dubai on May 21 because, as he says, “there is a need in this field and in this area.”

Dr. Carson Liu explains that the reason the United Arab Emirates is facing this health issue is because they have access to richer food.

“In affluent societies there is easy access to rich and high calorie foods, there also tends to be a lack of exercise add that to the terrible heat that is prevalent in the Middle East and it  all contributes to a sedentary lifestyle,” he explains

He also says the influence of the West is heavily to blame for the United Arab Emirates current predicament.

“I believe it is influence of the Western diet and lifestyle, ” he says. “Now that westernized fast food is globalized, it is now common that many meals consist of fried high fat foods that aren’t indigenous to what was once a Middle Eastern diet that consisted of a lot of vegetables and legumes.”

Diabetes, he explains has also become an issue.

“Diabetes and obesity go hand-in-hand as we have seen in the United States with children and teenagers,” he says. “Every society is dealing with altered intake of high calorie foods with a sedentary lifestyle

And his reason for opening his clinic is simple: Drastic problems require drastic solutions.

“Surgeries are definitely one of those that can help combat diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and hypertension,” Dr Liu says.   “These are health issues that are easily avoidable if only people would be more aware of what they are putting in their mouths and how much they are eating.”

Has Kourtney Kardashian had enough of her partner Scott Disdick’s (and, no, that is not a typo) wild ways?

Soon to be a father of two, Scott Disick is back to his wild ways and his partner, Kourtney Kardashian, has had enough.  Life & Style can reveal that Kourtney has kicked Scott out of their LA home—and it’s all caught on tape for the upcoming season of their hit E! show.

“They were filming an intense scene recently, and she said something like, ‘Just leave! I don’t want you here — come back when I’m ready to give birth,’” a family pal tells the new issue of Life & Style, on stands now. Shockingly, Scott was happy to oblige.

Indeed, while Kourtney and the couple’s son, Mason, 2, are rooted in LA, he’s tellingly chosen to open a restaurant, Ryu, 3,000 miles away in the trendy Meatpacking District of NYC. “He wants to be there all the time, greeting guests and managing,” explains the family pal. “Fans are going there just to see him.

Scott missed out on Kourtney’s baby shower on May 12 and a Kardashian family Mother’s Day celebration the very next day. The rumors that she could be leaving her $20 million gig on “American Idol” first started to surface at the premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting earlier this week, when Jennifer Lopez danced around the question of whether she was staying on the hit show.

“It is just like any working mom’s dilemma,” she said. “It’s tough. It’s a balancing act. You put them first and then you have all these other things that you have to do, that you have to give your time to as well, and you have to make sure that they’re OK in the process.”

Those rumors turned into almost a confirmation when she spoke of her future with the series on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I don’t know I enjoy it,” she said when asked if she would return for a third year.  ”I really do enjoy it

“This is my second year. I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down.”

Then a source from E! chimed in saying: “She’s just too busy.”

The 42-year-old star is about to embark on a high-profile concert tour with Enrique, which kicks off this summer in South America and the US.

According to various reports, she is hoping to lighten her schedule next year, and is even considering a break so she can spend time with her four-year-old twin children Max and Emme, who will be starting school soon.

But while Fox declined to comment, the show’s executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told TMZ he is desperate for her to remain, saying: “We want her back. I want her back.”

Which leads to the inevitable question of, would upping her already mammoth paycheck entice Jennifer to return to the judge’s chair for another year?

And while we are on the subject of “American Idol”, with only three remaining, tonight we will learn the fate of Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, and which two will advance to the final and a one-way ticket to  superstardom next week.

Steven Tyler last night predicted that Jessica Sanchez would take home the “American Idol” title. While Randy Jackson dubbed Phillip’s rendition of “We’ve Got Tonight”,  ”the perfect song, at the perfect time and your best performance on this show ever.”

In the past two weeks, there have been bombshell claims by three men about the exploits of John Travolta behind closed doors.

While it has emerged that the first two stories appear to have holes in them (the first John Doe had the wrong date; and now, in regards to the second, a newly-released email could also silence his case), it hasn’t stop alledge victims from coming out of the woodwork.

The latest man to claim he had an intimate experience with Travolta is massage therapist, Luis Gonzalez, who is now living out of the United States, but has told his tale to the National Enquirer.

Gonzalez told the Enquirer he spent a passionate afternoon having sex with Travolta  at the posh Ritz-Carlton hotel in Laguna Niguel, Calif., in 1997.

“He’s a great kisser,” Gonzalez boasted to the mag. “I know because I had sex with him, and he loved it.”

And, he added that the Pulp Fiction star was “very experienced” in bed.

The former masseur claimed the rendezvous started shortly after he set up his massage table in the actor’s room and Travolta reportedly stripped down and said it was too warm for a top sheet, Gonzalez said.

“I gladly let him lay on the table naked . . . and within five minutes, Travolta spread his legs and I could see an erection,” he told the Enquirer. “He moved around and started to breathe heavily. He’d say, ‘Oh, yeah, that feels so good! A little higher, please!’ ”

And then one thing led to another.

“We got into the bed that was right next to the massage table and had a really good time,” he claimed.

“Travolta may not identify himself as a gay man, but it doesn’t dismiss the fact that he likes sex with men,” Gonzalez added.

Travolta’s lawyer, Marty Singer, dismissed the new accusations.

“When it comes to claims about my client in supermarket tabloids, consider the source,” Singer said in a statement to the Daily News. “This spate of recklessly published tabloid stories is just part of a malicious tabloid agenda to boost lagging sales by running outrageous, defamatory stories about my client sourced by people seeking notoriety or a payday.”

Meanwhile, new reports have emerged that Travolta tried to give his Grease co-star Jeff Conaway oral sex while he was sleeping.

Travolta allegedly tried to perform the act at Conaway’s home in the 1990s, Conaway’s former fiancée Vikki Lizzi told the National Enquirer.

She said that her partner, who played Kenickie in the 1978 hit movie, was so upset with the incident it ended his long-term friendship with the star.

Silver fox, John Slattery had his wife Talia Balsam by his side while he sipped a dirty martini in true “Mad Men” fashion, and discussed upcoming projects with “How I Met Your Mother” star, Josh Radnor.

Their road to parenthood has been a long and heartbreaking one. And at at times, it seemed that Bill and Rancic’s baby dreams would never come to fruition.

But on the heels of their “miracle baby”, which is due this summer, the couple have revealed plans for a second addition to their family.

The reality couple spoke to Life & Style magazine about their new plans.

Bill and Giuliana Rancic have endured so much heartbreak on their road to parenthood, that even as they eagerly await the birth of their “miracle baby” this summer, they’re already planning to welcome a second child as soon as possible. “Absolutely! We already have the plans in the works,” Bill, 41, confirms exclusively to the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. “The wheels are in motion.”

For now, the couple are accompanying their surrogate — whom they loved from the moment they met — to her doctor’s appointments. “Everything is looking great, and we’re thrilled,” reports Giuliana, 36. “It couldn’t be better, so knock on wood it’s all looking good!”

Planning baby No. 2 before their first bundle of joy arrives may seem stunningly ambitious, but it just shows how excited the couple are to create a loving family at long last. In fact, having a family of adopted and biological children has always been on Giuliana’s mind. “Adoption is the most beautiful thing,” Giuliana confided to Life & Stylelast year. “It’s so selfless.”

No matter how big, and how quickly, their family grows, Bill and Giuliana are ready to embrace it all. “My wife and I declared 2012 the Year of the Rancics,” says Bill, who hints there may be even more kids to come. “If it were up to Giuliana, it would be. Two or three would be a great number. She’d want four or five. But that’s not gonna happen — not with me,” he jokes. “Maybe her next husband!”

UPDATE: Mary Kennedy, the estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy, committed suicide by hanging herself, according to a report. 

The body of Kennedy, 52, was discovered Wednesday in the garage of her home in Mount Kisco, N.Y., by a housekeeper, sources tell ABC News.

Lt. Dickan of the Bedford PD confirmed that a deceased body was removed from the home and Radar has confirmed that the Westchester County Medical Examiner has Mary’s body.

“There was a phone call made from the home requesting assistance for a death at that location,” Dickan toldRadarOnline.com. “This is an unattended death investigation. That means no one was there when the person died.”

“There was an EMT vehicle outside the home about an hour ago,” a neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her,” a family representative tells RadarOnline.com. “Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation. We have no further comment at this time.”

Mary Richardson Kennedy’s attorney Patricia Hennessey tells RadarOnline.com, “No one knows anything right now. The family knows she died sometime today and we are waiting on fuller information as soon as we can. The family is making arrangements.”

And when asked if the three ever fight, he laughed, saying: “We all bicker from time-to time. We are three strong-minded, passionate people and sometimes we clash. But at the end of the day, we are like brothers.”

He played a major role in the Superbowl victory, and NY Giants star Victor Cruz’s face still lights up when asked about the team’s earlier this year. Was it the best moment of his life?

“It’s definitely one of  amazing things that has ever happened to me, ” he says with a huge grin on his face. “It’s up their with the birth of my daughter. It was exciting and there was so much adrenalin. It was just one of those moments that you will never forget.”

Someone who is used to the exhilarating feeling of winning, is two-time Olympic Games Gold Medalist and Team USA Hopeful, Kerri Walsh.

The one thing we were struck by when we met her, was her washboard abs, and we couldn’t  help but seek some advice on how to get bikini-ready.

With an air of calmness that comes rom spending so much time on the beach as a beach volleyball player and away from the rat race of the city, she said: “It’s my job to stay in shape, and I have to be in a bikini all the time. I love my job, so it’s not a bad side effect.”

She added: “But in terms of getting into shape, always try running in the sand, if you can as it help shed more pounds, and try to play games like volleyball as it is fun and doesn’t feel like you are working out.”

With only months to live, Melbourne teenager Shaun Wilson-Miller recorded a message to his friends and family, titled “My Final Goodbye”, in which he urged those closest to him, to live their lives to the fullest and to look after his Dad when he was gone.

The 17-year-old secretly recorded the clip in his bedroom late at night and it was intended just for his Facebook friends, but a technical glitch meant he had to upload it to YouTube.

The heartbreaking, but inspirational video has now amassed 1.4 million hits from across the globe. Wilson-Miller decided to film the clip upon learning that his body had rejected his second heart transplant.

“Yes, it’s love,” he said. “We’ve been going out for 2 1/2 weeks, but we’ve been friends for seven years.

“The hardest thing for me is leaving her, knowing that I won’t get to marry her. To have kids together. To grow old together. That is what makes me sad.”

But despite his heartbreak at leaving his young love and his family and friends behind, Wilson-Miller has remained surprisingly upbeat, even in the face of adversity.

“I want to enjoy my life,” he says.

“The way I look at it is I didn’t get to decide this. These are the cards I’ve been dealt. I just have to roll with the punches.

“I have had two heart transplants, had a stent put in, and an aneurism. I have had 10 more years than I should have because of that. I want to go out with a bang.”

As I’m writing this, my second article for celebzter.com, I’m recovering from jet lag after returning to London from Las Vegas, where I was training at Xtreme Couture. Xtreme Couture is a mixed martial arts gym owned by former light heavyweight and heavyweight UFC champion, Randy Couture!

Randy was one of the stars of Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables, and he appears in the summers’ sequel The Expendables 2.  Anyway, I had a great time training there for six of the seven days I was in Sin City. They have the best coaches there and you best check your ego at the entrance if you go there, as there is so much to learn and it would only get in your way.

Randy is a very humble guy and the more humble you are the better fighter/athlete you tend to be. Speaking of Mr. Stallone, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him twice. The first in London which was very brief, but I remember he was curious about who I was, which stunned me! The second time was much more formal and was in Beverly Hills, in my favorite restaurant Spago owned by Wolfgang Puck (you got to love Wolfgang, he has all the A- listers in his place but treats you the same, I love it there) .

Mr. Stallone said to me he was glad he met me there after he finished a business meeting and he came over to the bar where I was drinking with my friend Connie and her friends.

Anyway, jet lag aside I’m very happy to be writing my second article on here for you!

“I lost my head for a little while. I lost touch and I didn’t want to ask for directions. I did a couple really dumb interviews and it woke me up

‘I’m glad I actually stayed out of the spotlight. Back then I would’ve said, “Let me get out and do Ellen and explain myself.” It was like, “No, idiot. Go away – be 33 and 34 instead of 28 for the fourth year.”‘

According to a new report emerging from American tabloid, In Touch Weekly, Kim Kardashian’s endless quest for fame has backfired on her, with many in Tinseltown stars now abandoning her, and distancing themselves from the spotlight-grabbing star.

The fame Kim Kardashian has worked so hard to achieve is slipping away and even boyfriend Kanye West can’t help the reality star! Banned from the swanky annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala by the host herself, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Kim was forced to stay home poring over pictures of the event’s A-list guests.

Now, In Touch has learned that Kanye went as far as to ask renowned designer Tory Burch, who dressed him for the exclusive gala, for help. “He asked Tory if Kim could accompany him as his date,” a fashion insider tells In Touch. “There was nothing Tory could do against Anna’s wishes, but if Kanye had requested to invite a well-liked celebrity, it surely wouldn’t have been an issue.”

“She was so upset that he went to the Met event without her,” an insider shares of the star.

After Kim’s quickie divorce filing, her onetime friends began abandoning her in droves, with former pals like Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé and Eva Longoria keeping their distance. Kim’s splashy TV wedding “didn’t sit well” with Gwyneth Paltrow either. “She’d die if she were photographed next to Kim,” a pal tells In Touch. “She hates what she stands for.”

Sadly, Kim is far from well-liked these days. “She’s always wanted to surround herself with famous people, but they don’t want anything to do with her anymore,” confides a source close to the 31-year-old.

Yesterday we wrote about how Billy Bob Thorton’s insecurities lead to the end of his marriage to Angelina Jolie.

“I blew it because I didn’t think I was good enough for her,” he confessed during an interview with  ABC’s Nightline. ”She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine and I was just too insecure.”

He also revealed how the two were still good friends, and that she had penned a forward to him in his new book The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts.

Well, Life & Style magazine have got their hands on a copy of the tome and can reveal exactly what Angelina said about her former husband.

They’ve been divorced for nearly 10 years, but Angelina Jolie still has a soft spot for ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton.

In Billy Bob’s new book, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts, which Life & Style has obtained, Angelina pens the forward and says her former partner “has a big beautiful heart.”

But that’s not at all: “He has an unmatchable wit and can make you laugh until your face hurts,” Angie writes.

The 36-year-old actress, who got engaged to partner of seven years Brad Pitt in April, gives even more details about Billy Bob’s personality.

“To be with him is like being with a mad mathematician,” she adds. “He is constantly counting and repeating.”

Along with talking about the things the 56-year-old actor loves and dislikes, Angie admits the world, and she herself, would not be the same without him around.

“Some people walk through life able to quiet the voices in their heads. He can’t. And I, and everyone else who knows him well, we love him for it,” she says, ending with, “I know one thing: The world would certainly be a hell of a lot more dull if that man weren’t in it.”

Billy recently opened up about his marriage to Angie, calling the failure of their relationship his fault.

“I blew it because I didn’t think I was good enough for her,” he said. “She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine, and I was just too insecure.”

Billy Bob and Angie, who co-starred in the 1999 film Pushing Tin, married in 2000 and were divorced in 2003.

Ed’s note: While Billy may have been too insecure for Jolie, Brad clearly isn’t…. after all what man wouldn’t feel a tinge of the green-eyed monster seeing his future wife gushing about her ex-husband in the public domain. Thoughts?

He was described by those who know him in suburban Maryland as a dedicated and loyal family man, who was active in his local parish.

But it appears, that married Secret Service agent Arthur Huntington has been living a double life in more ways than one.

After being outed as the cheapskate who tried to stiff Colombian prostitute Dania Londoño Suárez out of her $800 fee, it has now emerged that this was not the first time that Huntington has cheated on his wife.

In the wake of the scandal that heaped shame upon the Secret Service and saw nine men lose their jobs and Huntington go into hiding, a Canadian women has come forward to give details of a two-day affair she had with the agent just last year.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily News on condition of anonymity she said her decision to share her story is because his wife “deserves to know because it’s not a one-time thing.”

The 42-year-old described in detail how Huntington put the moves on her at Dublin pub, Cooper Face Jacks last year.

The woman said she met the hunky Huntington at Copper’s pub during the President’s May 2011 trip to the Irish capital.

On that first night, he didn’t lure her into a love nest, but pursued her for months until they shared a two-day affair in Manhattan.

His opening line was, “You’re not getting away from me tonight,’ ” according to the dark-haired woman’s account of their intercontinental romance.

Tightwad Huntington — who paid just $28 of his $800 tab to Colombian hooker Dania Suarez — lied to the Canadian woman and insisted he was a divorced dad.

In reality, the disgraced former federal agent lived with his wife, Jolie, and their two sons in suburban Maryland, where he was active at the local Granite Baptist Church. His wife led a Bible study group there.

“She’s probably beautiful,” the woman said of Jolie.

The Canadian woman had no idea of the amorous agent’s double life when he sent her flirtatious emails, phone calls and shirtless photos.

She said she kept in touch with Huntington until shortly before he left for Colombia last month.

When she discovered the truth through media reports about Huntington, the petite, well-toned woman said,

“I was like, ‘Are you f—— kidding me?’ ”

Huntington, she said, presented himself as a lone wolf looking for love while traveling the globe for his job.

“Why is it the President is the only one that should have morals?” she said. “The people that are protecting him should be mindful of what they are doing.”

“He’s under a microscope now because he’s put himself there,” the Canadian continued. “(His) job is more than a job. It’s a responsibility.”

When Huntington was first outed, those who knew him insisted he would never cheat on his wife.

“He wouldn’t do that,” said a female relative who asked that her name not be used. “Not the Arthur that I know. He wouldn’t. They go to church every week.”

“It’s out of character — the Arthur I know, he’s very dedicated to the family, very loyal,” said Teresita Rodriguez, 65, who along with her husband Jose has known Huntington since he was a child.

It appears, Huntington had everyone fooled….

It was night of surprises– and upsets.

After her ballroom mishap on Monday night, many expect British opera singer Katherine Jenkins and her partner Mark Ballas to be eliminated from the semi-finals of “Dancing with the Stars”.

But, instead it was Maria Menounos and Derek Hough who got the boot.

Menounos handled the surprising elimination with grace saying: ”I learned so many things. I learned how strong I was. I learned to persevere. We didn’t know our dances yesterday until we got on the floor.”

While Derek chimed in saying: ”I love, love, love dancing with this person. Not just dancing with her, but just her as a person.”

Next week Jenkins and Ballas along with William Levy and Cheryl Burke, and Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd , will battle it out for the mirror ball trophy.

Fawning over his young lover, James Hooker quickly shot to international attention with his countless television interviews with his former student, Jordan Powers, just 18.

He declared their love for one another,  and quit his job and the couple moved in together. But the resulting media firestorm lead an alleged victim from the 1980′s to come forward, and, as a result, he was arrested.

Following a very public break-up last month after his arrest, Powers was back by his side today as Hooker made a brief court appearance for his pretrial hearing on a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Powers held her former teacher’s hand in the Modesto courtroom, showing the world that she is very much standing by her man.

After appearing for less than a minute at the Stanislaus County Superior Court, Judge Thomas Zeff scheduled Hooker to return on June 12. He was allowed to leave on $50,000 bail.

The case stems from a 1998 relationship he had with a 17-year-old student from Davis High School in Modesto.

There was Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, but amongst a sea of beautiful ladies, Brookyln Decker outshone them all at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles last night at the premiere of What To Expect When You’re Expecting.

The actor, who often courts controversy due to his devotion to Scientology, has given a surpisingly candid insight into life in his celebrity bubble.

People. com have been given an exclusive first look at the Q & A that appears on the magazine’s June issue, which hits newsstands on May 18.

Asked why he “sued over some particularly personal things that have been written about you and your family,” Cruise tells Playboy, “They know I mean it, that if I have to, I will sue.”

He also says, “Does refuting things help? Not really. There comes a point when you just have to go, ‘You know what? Here’s how I’ve lived my life: I’ve never been late to a set. I make films I believe in. I feel privileged to be able to do what I love.’ You just have to keep going and remember that.”

As for the gossip, “I hear it, I read it, I get it.” he says, “But life is not a matter of trying to prove anything to anybody.”

When the rumors go too far, however, he says, “You start with a letter saying, ‘Okay, you know it’s not true. Apologize.’ But with certain ones you have to go, ‘Okay, you crossed a line, and now you have the attention of my lawyers.’ [laughs] When it involves your kids, you have to go, ‘Here’s the line.’ ”

Scientology in His Life

He also suggests he’s in a no-win position when it comes to his discussing his belief in Scientology.

“If I don’t talk about my religion, if I say I’m not discussing it or different humanitarian things I’m working on, they’re like, ‘He’s avoiding it.’ If I do talk about it, it becomes, ‘Oh, he’s proselytizing.’ ”

On attributing his success to Scientology, the actor, soon to be seen inRock of Ages, says, “I have respect for what other people believe. What I believe in my own life is that it’s a search for how I can do things better, whether it’s being a better man or a better father or finding ways for myself to improve. Individuals have to decide what is true and real for them. I’m fortunate in the life I have.”

Other topics? “I haven’t, and I never would” have cosmetic surgery, he tells interviewer Michael Fleming, crediting his youthful look to the fact “I’m always with family. I train, go without sleep. I just go hard.”

Katie Holmes, Cruise says, “is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you’d see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity.”

He describes his wife, and mother of their 6-year daughter, Suri, as “funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better. I’m a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that. I don’t know what to say – I’m just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special.”
