The star of ”The Dark Knight” trilogy, Christian Bale is no stranger to criticism, and in the past few days he has found himself the subject of a Facebook campaign to urge him to visit the victims of the Aurora, Colo massacre.
Whether he did this on his on accord or because of the mounting pressure, remains to be seen, but on Tuesday, Bale went off to Aurora to offer his condolences– not as a representative of the film, but as an individual.
“Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers,” said an assistant to Susan Fleishman, the executive vice president for corporate communications at Warner Bros.
Our question to you is: Does it aid to heal the victims by the star of the film being there? Or is it just a prerequisite of a tragedy?
The only person, at this point who everyone is awaiting to hear upon, is James Holmes himself…. because ultimately a film, not based on reality, cannot be blamed for cold-blooded atrocities.
