He once won the much coveted gong for “Shagger of the Year”, but Russell Brand insists those days are long gone.

And this morning, we learned some choice tidbits about the British comedian when he called in to Ryan Seacrest’s Kiss-FM radio show. TMI?

From pornography to the Dalai Lama,to stealing Larry King’s wife’s underwear, Russell Brand covered a everything we’ve ever wondered about the comic – and more.

Is Russell Brand Single?

“I am single as a matter of fact, Ryan. I try not to spend too much time in solemn reflection. For example, I don’t look at internet pornography ever. As I think that sort of stuff should happen in real life. Pornography is better live I think.”

What Did Russell Tell The Dalai Lama?
“I didn’t talk to him about sex. I just told him it was weird….because in England I had won all those awards as “Shagger of the Year” three times. I just said its was weird to be introducing the Dalai Lama, the holiest man on the planet, when I use to be known as “Shagger of the Year!”

Russell has very been busy, but “next year I’m spending some time with the Mrs., then I’m doing a movie. It’s a serious movie. It’s from Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning writer of Juno, she’s written and directed it. I’m very excited about it.” He went on to explain his qualifications saying, “I trained as a serious actor so I did Shakespeare back in England. But you know me I like ‘mucking’ around so when it starts I might want to do a joke.”

What about those panty pilfering accusations?

Russell defends himself by saying,”Larry King was naive enough to invite me into his home. There was a bizarre dinner party being made into a television show with Quincy Jones, Tyra Banks, Seth MacFarlane, Conan O’Brien, Shaquille O’Neal, and me. It didn’t seem normal to me. So to ground myself, and the only way to make sense of the situation was to sneak away and steal his wife’s underwear. Then conceal it about my person, and later Larry asked, ‘Russell, what keeps you up at night?’ to which I responded, ‘I’ll tell you what keeps me up at night. These!’ and held up his wife’s panties!”

Russell also explained to ‘Roger The Security Guard‘ that he will be hosting Love X-Change with Sarah Silverman on Sunday, December 11th at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre (3790 Wilshire Blvd). In lieu of payment for tickets, Brand is asking that every attendee donate two hours of service to one of the following six charities: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Rootstrikers, Friendly House, The Art of Elysium, Los Angeles Food Bank, or Los Angeles Animal Alliance.

Russell proclaims, “You get two hours of comedy for two hours of community service! We’ve cut money right out of the equation!” Fans can sign on to Russell’s Facebook page, click on the charity they wish to donate their time to, and in exchange, they’ll receive a ticket to the show.

Well, I suppose I’ve seen the light. I didn’t care for Brand
much before seeing this show, but to be fair I wasn’t much familiar with his
work besides Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which he annoyed me in. I pretty much
decided I didn’t like him and moved on. One of my coworkers here at Dish is a
huge fan of his and was trying to get me interested in the show. I refused to
watch until she showed me a few of the free clips or interviews on
dishonline.com. I found them hilarious, and have happily become a fan ever
since. I think he’s sharp, witty, and has a cracking one liner when he needs
one. Call me converted.
