His trainer has revealed all the details to Life & Style magazine.
Ryan Gosling’s body is about to get even hotter! For his upcoming boxing film, Only God Forgives, Ryan is kicking and sweating his way through grueling workouts at Muay Thai Academy of America in North Hollywood, under the eye of the school’s owner and main trainer, Kiu Puk.
Kui Puk chats with Life & Style about the workout routine and diet the 31-year-old heartthrob’s following as he prepares for the role. “Ryan’s disciplined and enthusiastic, and above all, he loves his training,” Puk tells Life & Style about the ripped star who has been training at the gym four times a week for the past two months. “He trains for around two hours at a time — it’s pretty nonstop,” Puk says.
The trainer, who has worked with many movie stars, says Ryan is one of the easiest clients he’s had! ”Some of the big stars come in here for two hours and try to conduct business on their cellphone while they’re here,” Puk tells Life & Style. “But not Ryan. He’s polite, always listens to what I’m saying and follows all instructions.”
Of course, adds Puk, diet is also key: “I’ve recommended that he stick to a traditional Thai diet of fish, green vegetables and rice. I can tell he’s sticking to it.”
