It’s been days of pomp and circumstance and, most importantly, national pride, and today the revelry came to an end when the Queen stood on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace in front of thousands of her loyal subjects.
Some have claimed that the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is bigger than the forthcoming Olympic Games, which will be held in London.
But before we recap the last 24 hours events, let’s examine the one issue that is really bugging us first: Camilla’s seemingly important presence within the royal family’s ranks.
Today, as ecstatic crowds cheered the Queen’s carriage procession through the streets of London, Camilla was given pride of place next to Her Majesty in a very public display of how Prince Charles’ wife is now part of the Firm.
Why does this bother us so much? Well, perhaps it is because we cannot look at her and not think how she inadvertently destroyed Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage.
Let’s not forget, Diana refered to her as “that other woman” and said that there were three of them in the marriage.
And we can’t look at her and not think, had she not been in the picture, Charles and Diana’s marriage may have flourished, and the result: Diana would still be alive.
That fact that she is not only embraced within the royal ranks but celebrated, to us, sends out a terrible message that it is ok to cheat and one eventually will be rewarded.

Moving on to a happier couple, William and Kate, who along with Harry seem to be paying the price for their frivolities the previous night as they sat in St Paul’s Cathedral this morning, barely able to retain their composure.
While Kate managed to at least keep it together, Harry slumped in his chair and William could barely keep his eyes opened.
It marked a complete departure from their energetic appearance last night at the The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert, where they seemed the life of the party.
Which brings us to the highlights of last night’s unprecedented event….in case you missed it, here’s the best bits!
God hail the Queen, who must be fraught with worry over her husband Prince Philip, who remains in hospital with a bladder infection.
He is said to be “disappointed” that he couldn’t participate in the last of the festivities, but we’re sure there was nothing more than the Queen would want than to have him by her side– gaffes and all!
