It’s pretty much been an open secret: Jennifer Lopez’s tenure on “American Idol” is coming to an end.
And today, she all but confirmed that she wouldn’t be returning to the judge’s chair.
Lopez, who has been on the show for two seasons, told Today‘s Natalie Morales, “I am thinking that it’s time for me to go.”
When asked if she had made a definitive decision either way, Lopez said, ”Little by little I am … All I can let you in on is my own thought process with it because that’s where I truly am … I love everybody, I love all the guys on the show, I love the family that’s there … but I am thinking it’s time for me to go and do other things I love to do.”
So, now, the inevitable next step is the quest to find who will replace her in the hot seat.
