John Mayer admits he was a big mouth idiot - The singer is putting his tail between his legs and admits that he said some really stupid things in the past

He once brazenly bragged that Jessica Simpson was like a “sexual napalm” and she was  like crack cocaine to him, before going on to diss another of his lovers, Jennifer Aniston, who he claimed was stuck in the past of the glory days of “Friends”.

Now, with his tail firmly between his legs, John Mayer has admitted that he made countless mistakes in a series of “really dumb “interviews.

The 34-year-old told Ellen DeGeneres that he went through a “very strange time” when he spoke  about ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson’s bedroom skills and his broken heart over Jennifer Aniston in various interviews.

“I lost my head for a little while. I lost touch and I didn’t want to ask for directions. I did a couple really dumb interviews and it woke me up

‘I’m glad I actually stayed out of the spotlight. Back then I would’ve said, “Let me get out and do Ellen and explain myself.” It was like, “No, idiot. Go away – be 33 and 34 instead of 28 for the fourth year.”‘

He went on to say that by avoiding the spotlight for two years, it “rocket him into adulthood”.
