The ratings battle between NBC and ABC just got a whole lot hotter, with the news that tomorrow Sarah Palin will be co-hosting the “Today” show, whilst Katie Couric continues to front “Good Morning America”.
Katie is currently filling in for Robin Roberts this week, and in, perhaps a personal counter strike, NBC booked Sarah for Tuesday.
The significance, of course, is that now-famous interview Katie conducted with Sarah during her presidential election season in 2008. The interview was widely deemed a disaster for Sarah and after airing, there was “a collapse in her approval ratings and a loss of McCain’s gains among white women.”
Perhaps, Sarah sees this as a way to extract her revenge, providing a website with the soundbite “game on”, in regards to her TV battle tomorrow morning.
She also told the Breitbart’s Big Journalism website: “I see this as a good opportunity to bring an independent, common-sense conservative perspective to NBC. We’re ‘going rogue’ and infiltrating some turf for a day.”
Let’s take a trip down memory lane ahead of tomorrow’s Kat-fight…
