Lindsay Lohan is back courting trouble again.
The wayward star was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning after allegedly clipping a man with her car and leaving the scene.
According to TMZ, who broke the story, a 34-year-old Hispanic male alleges that Lohan clipped him when she was driving her 2010 black Porsche Cayenne SUV in an alleyway between the Maritime and Dream Hotels, on 16th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. It is also alleged that after clipping the man, she or her occupant got out of the SUV to check the vehicle for damage, then the two went into the Dream.
Lohan was arrested when she left the venue at 2.30am.
The 26-year-old was booked for the misdemeanour offence of leaving the scene of an accident and released with a desk appearance ticket.
However, Lohan is claiming that she was set up. TMZ reports that she is describing the incident to friends as “really fishy” (the man was taken to hospital but appeared to have no any visible injuries) and plans to fight the claims.
As we know, this is not the first time Lohan has been involved in a car crashed, nor the first time she has proclaimed innocence.
In June of this year she smashed up another Porsche after claiming she was cut up by a truck… and on that occasion she claimed there was a manufacturing problem with the vehicle.
But when tests were carried out after the crash, the breaks were found to be working fine.
