He starred in the ad which drew in 43 million hits online, but the little boy, Max Page who played the young Darth Vader in the infamous 2011 Superbowl advert, had a whole nation fall more in love with him when it was revealed he was born a congenital heart defect.
Today, the young boy checked in to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for the operation to fix the hole in his heart.
He will have his pulmonary valve replaced.
Prior to checking in, Max’s mom Jennifer Page, told NBC News: “He saw a pair of Darth Vader headsets and he said, ‘I want those. It really struck me because he’s not usually wanting those.’’
