With his long, unruly locks, John Mayer bears a striking resemblance to Katy Perry’s ex-husband, Russell Brown.
And it seems, she certainly has a type.
After weeks of speculation that the pair were hooking up, last night photographers finally got photos of Perry and Mayer enjoying a flirtatious date night in Los Angeles.
The couple’s first stop was Pace in Los Angeles before moving on to the Hollywood staple, Chateau Marmont Hotel.
Rumors that the pair were dating first sprang to light after they were spotted grabbing pizza together last month.
They were then seen together at Soho House on July 19th where Perry was said to be “all over” the notorious lothario.
And in a surprising fact for the day, the pair were romantically linked back in 2009.
That was the year that Mayer was said to be dating actress Rashida Jones and he reunited with Jennifer Aniston.
Despite her divorce from Brand, Perry recently admitted that she still believes in love.
Asked what she wants from her love life, Katy said: “I’m a woman who likes to be courted, strongly. Never say never, I guess you’d say. I’ll let love take the lead on that.”
