Now Republican senate candidate Todd Akin compares his opponent to a dog - The controversial Missouri republican has made yet another political gaffe

How he still is the political race is anyone’s guess. After countless controversial comments, including the one where he suggested that women don’t become pregnant from “legitimate rape”, Todd Akin has put his misguided foot in his mouth–again.

At a campaign rally in Springfield, Mo., Republican U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin said rival Democrat Claire McCaskill “fetches” regulations and taxes “like a dog.”

“She goes to Washington, D.C., it’s a little bit like one of those dogs, ‘fetch,’ she goes to Washington, D.C., and get all of these taxes and red tape and bureaucracy and executive orders and agencies and brings all of this stuff and dumps it on us in Missouri. It seems to me that she’s got it just backwards,” he said Saturday.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but somehow we think Mr. Akin is the one who is “backwards”.
