When it comes to love, Katy Perry hasn’t been so lucky.

From a failed marriage to Russell Brand and now to an on-again, off-again relationship with Mr Heartbreaker himself, John Mayer, the 27-year-old singing sensation’s taste in men is questionable, to say the least.

Despite being spotted out on Oct. 16 for dinner with Mayer for his 35th birthday in NYC, her brother, David Hudson, certainly isn’t giving the relationship his seal of approval.

“She deserves a true gentleman, and I don’t think she’s found that,” David, 24, exclusively tells Life & Style, which is on newsstands now.

“Katy needs a man who’s changing the world like she is — although not necessarily in the business,” David further explains to Life & Style. “Just someone that’s really got something impressive — she can’t be unmatched in that sense.

    Anyone who’s been reading the paps over the past five or so years can tell that John Mayer is NOT a gentleman but a sniveling child man who needs to grow up before he is capable of an adult relationship with any woman.
