While most of America struggles in the midst of a recession, Hollywood’s leading ladies are still putting more money in the bank in a year, than we will ever see in our own lifetimes.
Forbes has just released their list of the highest-paid women of 2012 with Oprah Winfrey coming in at No. 1, pulling in $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Forbes writes that Winfrey’s net worth is estimated to be $2.7 billion, but this might be one of the last years she tops their highest-paid women list.
Her nearest competitor is Britney Spears, who earned an estimated $58 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Music seems to be one of the best ways to put a big chunk of money into your account, with songstress Taylor Swift (who at 22 is the youngest on the list), coming in third after earning an estimated $57 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Rihanna tied for fourth with Ellen DeGeneres at $53 million. Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga tied with $52 million and then there was a three-way tie between Gisele Bündchen, Katy Perry and—wait for it—Judge Judy for $45 million.
