He’s a reformed sex addict, who once famously boasted of bedding nine women in one night at the height of his womanizing ways.
And, Russell Brand made light of his past when he performed at the Music Box at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on May 5th.
During his hilarious stand-up show, he called sex-hotlines using an audience member’s phone and trashed members of the audience who made crude comments (one even calling out “Katy Perry”).
That audience member, in particular, was on the receiving end of a serious tongue-lashing.
According to Life & Style magazine, Russell lost it at the audience member.
“This guy randomly yelled out ‘Katy Perry,’ and at first, Russell didn’t make much of it,” an audience member tells Life & Style. “But in a little while, he did it again and Russell lost it. He actually climbed down off the stage, made the crew turn the house lights up and told the audience to point the guy out.”
Once Russell found his heckler, he didn’t hold back!
“He tore into him for maybe three or four minutes, standing right there in the middle of the crowd with the lights up,” the guest adds.
And here’s what the comedian said: ”I was hoping that your personality was a result of physical beauty, and then I saw you. I thought, This guy’s confident because he’s incredibly handsome. But look at you. You look like something that’s fallen off the side of a church [likening the man to a gargoyle]. And what is it that you have rattling around in your mind? Some bizarre combination of alcohol and idiocy. Some cocktail of nothing. And yet you have the confidence to continue shouting.”
“He went on to attack everything from how good he thought the guy would be in bed to accusing him of being impotent. It must have been humiliating for the guy; it seemed to go on forever,” the eyewitness tells Life & Style. ”Eventually he pulled it together and got back on the stage, and being Russell, he told the guy he’d just tore apart that he loved him.”
Later, Russell, who filed for divorce from Katy earlier this year, calmed down, and as he walked through the audience, he hugged fans and even took gifts from an audience member who gave him a bag including books and a banana, which he pointed out was a bizarre gift to give.
What do you think the banana symbolized?
