It is the role that she hopes will put her back in the limelight for the right reasons– as an actress, and not her constant brushes with the law.

And today, amid a new set of dramas for Lindsay Lohan, Lifetime has release these photos of her channelling Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming biopic “Liz and Dick.”

The film focuses upon Taylor and Richard Burton’s passionate, but,ultimately, ill-fated love affair that spanned the course of several decades.

Following the official casting announcement, Lohan said in a press release, “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

    God noooooo! She looks nothing like Taylor! Aweful! I say do a remake and put Alexis Kiley in the part of Elizabeth Taylor. I’m disappointed and so are many of Elizabeth Taylor’s fans. Low budget show.
