Being a leader in a time of chaos and natural disasters isn’t an easy feat. So far (with the exception of Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford) those in office on the East Coast regions have made all the right decisions.
But there has been one man who has excelled in the political sphere more so than others– Mayor Cory Booker of Newark, N.J.
Booker has become regarded as somewhat of a real-life superhero, spending the past few days driving around the city in an SUV loaded with diapers, water, and other supplies for citizens in distress, personally enforcing curfew on some roaming teenagers, and coordinating crews to move the homeless to shelter.
And he has communicated with his citizens directly via his Twitter account.
Here are just some of the messages he has relayed in recent days….

Booker’s reputation for heroics first surfaced during the “#snowpocalypse” of December 2010, when he used Twitter to locate snowed-in residents, digging out cars, checking on loved ones, and reassuring Newarkers that help would be coming soon.
