Tom Hanks landed himself in an embarrassing situation on Friday morning when he accidentally used the F-word on-air on “Good Morning America”.
The actor was appearing on the G-rated show to promote his latest flick, Cloud Atlas.
When Elizabeth Vargas challenged Hanks to recreate the British accent of one of his characters in the movie, he warned: “[It's] mostly swear words.”
Then launching into a thick British accent he said: ”I want people to f–––ing …”
Realizing his mistake, Hanks, 56, slapped his hand to his mouth and immediately apologized.
“Man oh man, I’m sorry,” he said. “I have never done that before. I want to apologize to the kids in America that are watching this right now, and let me say next time on the show there will be a seven-second delay.”
