Oh, awwwww, that is one’s first reaction upon seeing these super-sweet, super-cute photos of precious Yakini getting a checkup from Royal Children’s Hospital neonatal specialist Neil Campbell at the Melbourne Zoo in Australia.

See his surprise reaction when the cold stethoscope hits his chest. No words could possibly describe this photo, which was taken way back in 1999, the year he was born.

Yakini was under close supervision due to complications during his birth at the Melbourne Zoo.

Today, this tiny tot is a healthy, 12-year-old, 250-pound gorilla who resides in the Werribee Open Range Zoo, but he is becoming a star all over again thanks to these shots.
