It was a busy Labor Day weekend at Rande Gerber’s Café Habana in Malibu. The evening started with Howie Mandel seated on the outdoor patio enjoying Habana’s Cuban cuisine. Mandel was in great spirits following the weeks semifinals performances for “Americas Got Talent.” Sean Penn also enjoyed dinner that evening and was seen having a boys-night out with a group of guy friends. Penn has received much acclaim for his upcoming part as a “burnt out” Rock star turned Nazi Hunter in the upcoming film “This Must Be the Place.” Pro Surfer Kelly Slater was also seen dining at Café Habana with girlfriend Kalani Miller as well as Rande Gerber and wife Cindy Crawford. Other guests throughout the weekend were toasting to Labor Day with Gerber’s new Caliche Rum cocktails (including the Cali Mojito) which have been a hit at Café Habana. Rocker Pete Wentz was also spotted at Cafe Habana on Labor Day, enjoying a casual meal.
