Sweet Video: Marine meets his daughter for the first time in emotional homecoming - Until Monday, Fernando Chuva, had never held his 4-month-old baby

A marine burst down into tears when he got to hold his daughter for the first time on Monday.

Fernando Chuva, home from Afghanistan for two weeks in what is his fourth deployment, was reunited with his wife Dana and four-month-old daughter Sophia.

It was the first time he had the chance to hold his baby girl.

“No words to express it,” Fernando Chuva told WSTP from the Tampa  International Airport.

“I’m just so happy. Oh, Jesus.”

Next to Chuva’s family was a sign that said, “I’ve waited my entire life to  meet you.” Sophia wore a “Welcome home Daddy!” shirt and a camouflage ribbon in  her headband.

Dana said of the long-awaited homecoming: “It’s not easy,” the new mom said. “But when you really love somebody, it’s  worth it.”
