Charlize Theron and Alessandra Ambrosio have two things in common: beauty and fashion taste! Both celebs have been spotted in Sam & Lavi recently. While Charlize wore the Eileen top in Jane Dot at an event this weekend, Alessandra worked out in the Pier terry in Bright Coral.
She‘s paid to wear next to nothing as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, so it comes as no surprise that Alessandra Ambrosio would wear next to nothing at a post-Grammy bash.
And with a body like that, who could blame her.
The supermodel donned a blue Alexandre Vauthier Couture Spring 2013 dress, wore Kimberly McDonald jewels and Giuseppe Zanoti shoes, at the Warner Music Grammy Party sponsored by Heineken at the Chateau Marmont on Sunday night.
Alessandra Ambrosio is more than just a pretty face.
The Victoria’s Secret model is launching her own fashion and lifestyle brand, Alé by Alessandra and we have your first behind-the-scenes look at her at work.
The collection will make its debut in Spring 2014 and will include pieces highlighting Ambrosio’s Brazillian roots as well as inspirations from her travels around the world.
The range will feature reasonably priced clothing – from casual daywear to more formal, evening-appropriate pieces – aimed at ages 18-35. The pieces will take inspiration from her own relaxed model-off-duty style.
“This is not a hobby for me. I’ve been a fashion model for 15 years and designing is just an extension of my career,” she told WWD. “I still plan on modelling lingerie, but at the same time this is a business transition that I plan to have around for a long time.”
The venture is in collaboration with US retailer Cherokee, which will aid with production and distribution – its sales network spans 45 countries – with plans to debut the range in Latin America first.
“I know what I like and what I want to see. I want to be satisfied just as much as the customer,” added Ambrosio.”I’m creating a brand that’s everything I am passionate about and have experience in, from growing up in Brazil, traveling around the world and moving [to the US] five years ago.”
Future plans include the addition of jewellery, accessories, swimwear and fragrance.
Even when she‘s off-duty, Alessandra Ambrosio keeps on eye on what she eats in order to keep her Victoria’s Secret curves in tact.
Case in point, rather than indulging in calorie-laden snacks at Sundance, the supermodel escaped the cold and headed to the Udi’s Gluten Free Table to refuel on Sunday at Park City.
Our spies caught her there, snacking with friends at a VIP table and cozying up with fiance Jamie Mazur.
“They were making plenty of time for some heartwarming PDA,” one onlooker tells us.
Other stars who escaped the hustle and bustle of Sundance and headed to the Udi’s Gluten Free Table over the course of three days, included Julianne Moore, Mario Lopez, Jane Lynch, Karina Smirnoff, Abigail Spencer, Mekhi Phifer, Brie Larson and Jennifer Coolidge.
Additionally, guests enjoyed DiSaronno and Patrón Tequila cocktails (also gluten free!) We’ll drink to that!
Yes, she’s a supermodel and can make anything look good. But, the key to Alessandra Ambrosio’s allure is her effortlessly cool style.
She was spotted out in the warm L.A. weather wearing a “Relia Deluxe” dress and then toting a “Carla” bag. Both pieces come from the hot label Zadig & Voltaire.
Other celebs who have recently worn the line include January Jones, Eva Longoria, Olivia Munn and Lea Michele.
