How to get trim, taut and become terrific: Bob Harper, America’s inspirational TV trainer from the hit show The Biggest Loser, shares his tips in this exclusive interview

Health and fitness expert, television star and author, Bob Harper has helped transform the lives of countless contestants on NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser”.

Now, he’s taking his expertise to a greater community in a bid to help every day people become healthy and, ultimately, happier.

Harper has launched the first-of-its-kind interactive online fitness club, www.BobHarper.com,  which delivers exclusive, invigorating content designed to shape healthier lifestyles and fitter physiques. The site also features daily videos of Harper leading workouts, kitchen demonstrations with recipes and other healthy lifestyle tips.

“The key to losing weight is commitment,” Harper says. “This club is designed to encourage, motivate and inspire members to stay committed every single day through exclusive health and fitness content. I am so excited about interacting with my fans in a whole new way!”

As the fan-favorite fitness trainer of all 13 seasons of NBC’s worldwide hit TV show, “The Biggest Loser,” Harper has become an authority on wellness, as well as a globally in-demand fitness expert.

Additionally, he has just launched a line of weight loss products that include Bob Harper’s Smart Weight Loss, Bob Harper’s Smart Weight Loss Starter Kit and Bob Harper’s Smart 7-Day Cleanse.

We spoke to him and he shared details on his new project; some fabulous tips on how to lose weight; and also some inspirational advice for those who fall off the diet bandwagon at times.

Here is our interview with him…

Celebzter: What made you decide to launch this interactive forum?

Bob: People always ask me to be their personal trainer, where checking in daily is a key component.  I wanted to make-weight loss easy for anyone, anywhere.  This club features a new video from me every single day – it’s all-inclusive, easy to access and fun.  By constantly offering fresh content, BobHarper.com members receive the support they need to stay committed.

Celebzter: What can we expect from this online fitness club?

Bob: Five days a week there is a new workout provided, including three circuit workouts, a personal training session and group fitness class led by me!  The workouts are styled to be challenging so that the system WORKS!

There is also a database full of recipes based on my personal food philosophies: carb-enriched breakfast, lean proteins for lunch with greens and carbs (if desired) and lean proteins and greens for dinner.  Three times a week, I do a kitchen demonstration based on recipes found in the club.  I also provide healthy tips to incorporate into their daily routines.

And of course, there is a message board that offers interaction, support and inspiration among members.

Celebzter: This is one of the first- of- its- kind on the Internet, right?

 Bob: That’s right.  What makes my club unique is that seven days a week there is new content where I share a food tip, healthy living secret or a workout.  I’m acting as a personal trainer with an all-encompassing program.

With healthy food, exercise, support and most importantly, commitment, members will succeed.

Celebzter: What is the best advice you can give for people trying to lose weight?

 Bob: Don’t bite off more than you can chew, literally and figuratively.  Smaller goals add up to a complete lifestyle change.  If you try to completely change everything all at once, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Celebzter: Do you think people fall into a downward spiral in which they feel hopeless to change their circumstances?

Bob: Yes, and that’s when you have to remember that no matter what happened yesterday, you can always make a change for the better today.

Celebzter: What are your top diet tips?

 Bob: One of the rules in my book, The Skinny Rules, is to go to bed hungry.  Stop eating at least 3 hours before you go to bed and your body will start to burn the existing fat as opposed to the food you are consuming.  Keeping your body hydrated is also one of my number one rules.  It will keep your digestive system on track, maintain your metabolism, and might curb those hunger pains which could be caused from dehydration.

Celebzter: And your message for those who are overweight and unhealthy?

 Bob: No matter how far you feel you’ve gotten off track on your journey to a healthy lifestyle you can begin to make changes, starting today.  And I’ve always found that it’s better to focus on the smaller day-to-day picture with weight loss at first, as opposed to getting overwhelmed and discouraged by how far you have to go if you have a lot of weight to lose.
