Like it or loath it, perky singer Carly Rae Jespen seems to created this summers’ theme song,”Call Me Maybe.” The youngster talked to Ryan Seacrest on KISS-FM yesterday about the web parodies of her hit ; making sweet music with Owl City; her acting debut on an upcoming episode of 90210; and …Cookie Monster.
On “Call Me Maybe” Parodies:
Since it’s release, “Call Me Maybe” has inspired many parodies of the hit song. So, does Carly watch the parodies? “I don’t think I’ve seen all of them, but I’ve seen enough to be pretty blown away. I saw the Cookie Monster one the other day. Sesame Street, man. It doesn’t get any better than that!”
One Carly had not seen was from YouTuber Rob Bradford who used the song as a pick up line by using the lyrics to see if he could get girls numbers…and he got the number every time!
“Wow. 100% success rate, this is like cupid. I love it,” Carly exclaims. Has the singer had guys use this use the pick up line on her? “I’ve had it said to me before, I’m not going to lie, it’s quite adorable when it happens,” she says.
