It would be safe to assume that a 19-year-old who makes $350,000 per episode on a hit show would be a happy one.
Not in the case of “Two and A Half Men” star Angus T. Jones.
In fact, he has labeled the show, in which he plays Jake, as “filth” and urged fans stop watching the CBS hit.
In a new video for the Forerunner Christian Church, part of the Seventh Day Adventist movement, Jones lashes out saying he doesn’t even want to partake in it anymore.
“I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it,” he says on the clips below. “Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment.
“Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch on television … it’s bad news.”
He continues: “If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan.
“You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the bible says and being on that television show.”
In the video, he seemingly looks uncomfortable as he laughs and admits his worried family have described his recent “awakening” to the Seventh-day Adventist movement as a “cult”.
We are also sure that his bosses at Warner Brothers are going to be less than thrilled by this out-of-nowhere outburst.
