Celebrity host and star of the NBC Sports Network show, “Charlie Moore: No Offense” has been bulldozing his way to the top of the newly renamed network (formerly Versus). With guests like Tom Brady, Lynard Skynard, Micky Ward and Mitt Romney, to name a few, it’s hard not to pay attention to Charlie Moore’s in-your-face, comedic hosting style. The Boston native’s love for the outdoors, cigars, wine and great guests rolled into a 30 minute, fun-filled show has made him ratings gold.
Here’s our interview with him…
Celebzter: Who was your favorite guest on the show? Why?
Charlie: I can’t really pick one favorite guest. There has been so many great ones over the years. Having Jason Varitek and Tim Wakefield on after they won the World Series and having Ray Allen on after he won the World Championship with the Celtics were most certainly highlights. All of the all situations have made the guests special and unique. One that kind of sticks out is having the classic Batman, Adam West, on. Growing up as a kid and watching the show on TV and then spending the day filming with him was certainly special.
Celebzter: We heard DMX helped create your theme song, how did this come about?
Charlie: It was DMC who helped create my theme song. I had Darryl McDaniels on my show a few years back Growing up and listening to 80s music, Run DMC was always one of my favorite bands. When NBC Sports asked me to create a new series (Charlie Moore – No Offense), I asked DMC to perform the theme song. He said yes and the rest is history.
Celebzter: How would you describe your show?
Charlie: My show is all about attitude and basically having a good time in other people’s world and getting to know how they live and what makes them tick. People from Boston, I think, have a distinct point of view since we are big on sports, food, music and lifestyle. I try to bring all of those elements into each episode. The most important thing though is that when people watch the show, I want them to find it very entertaining.
Celebzter: Who would be your dream guest on the show?
Charlie: My dream guest will not happen, because if I could have one person on the show it would be Frank Sinatra. I don’t think that anyone was more entertaining with a complete attitude then he was.
Celebzter: What’s in store for next season?
Charlie: Next season we are going to have a few more high-profile guests doing stuff that they are not truly accustomed to and keeping with the theme of food and entertainment and hitting some cool fishing spots and just raising the profile on the network all while having fun.
