Lara Stone was positively glowing as she stepped out for the first time on Monday night since revealing she is expecting her first child.
The 28-year-old model, who is married to British comedian David Walliams and announced her pregnancy two weeks ago, sported a curve-hugging red dress at euphoria Calvin Klein presents the IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards in ceremony in New York City at Cipriani on Monday night.
Stone’s husband was the first to reveal the happy news about the pregnancy on Twitter.
“Some wonderful news,” he tweeted. ”My beautiful wife Lara is pregnant. We are having a baby! It is due next year and we both couldn’t be happier. Dx”
The couple later confirmed the pregnancy with a statement which read: “We’re very excited to announce we are expecting our first child. We’re both absolutely thrilled but ask you to please respect our privacy during this precious time.”
Vogue cover girl. Check. Calvin Klein model. Check. Mom-to-be. Check.
British-born Lara Stone has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband, David Walliams.
“We’re very excited to announce we are expecting our first child,” Stone, 28, and husband David Walliams said in a statement.
“We’re both absolutely thrilled but ask you to please respect our privacy during this precious time.”
Walliams, a comedian, 41, tweeted. “Some wonderful news. My beautiful wife Lara is pregnant. We are having a baby! It is due next year and we both couldn’t be happier.”
The couple married in May 2010.

A slew of famous faces turned out for what was one of the hottest tickets in town.

Diane Kruger & Joshua Jackson
After having a romantic dinner for two, true gentlemen Joshua Jackson escorted his girlfriend Diane Kruger, to the IFP, euphoria Calvin Klein, & Calvin Klein Collection soiree celebrating women in independent film. As Diane made her way into the event, he kept an eye on her, making sure she was ok and let her have the spotlight on the red carpet. As a judge at the Cannes Film Festival this year, Diane was focused on what she loves the most. She said, “All of us put so much heart into film making. It’s hard to judge one film against the other.” After Joshua quickly grabbed her attention and lead her to a golf cart that took them to the main part of the event. He seated her in the front, and hopped on the back, standing as her yelled “Viola! Go fast.”
Jessica Chastain & Shailene Woodley
New best friends Shailene Woodley and Jessica Chastain ran towards each other screaming of joy and gave one another the longest hug at the entrance of the event to the IFP, Calvin Klein Collection, & euphoria Calvin Klein soiree celebrating women in independent film. The two jumped up and down, while Jessica said loudly “We have too much to talk about” and Shailene replied, “I know, so glad you’re here.” She later told a guest that she keeps seeing Jessica at parties and that when she does, her heart chakra opens up a million times for her. She also gave her a ton of compliments on her powerful acting. Shailene came with a few friends, but quickly plopped herself on the coach next to Jessica to catch up, by the time the clock hit 1:00 a.m. the two were dancing away into the night barefoot at a private mention in the hills of Cannes.
Jessica Chastain ended with this quote about women in film, “inspiring is when someone is at the top of their game and they do more.” Shailene followed with, “(it takes) women beyond the physical plane.”
Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, & Isla Fischer
Funny man Chris Rock kept the jokes coming as he entertained both Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts at the IFP,Calvin Klein Collection, & euphoria Calvin Klein soiree – making them both burst out laughing. Ben later gave Naomi and the other starlets onsite to celebrate women in independent film a compliment, saying they all have “angelic faces.” Naomi headed over to embrace her dear friend Isla Fischer after hanging with the boys; the two caught up on each other’s busy lives.

Lara Stone’s comedian husband David Walliams was bragging to David Schwimmer about his wife being the new face of euphoria Calvin Klein. The two just celebrated their anniversary in Porto Fino before arriving to Cannes.
Other guests included Jada Pinkett and Alec Baldwin to name just a few.
