When you have three rescue doxies that adds up to a LOT of dog food!
That’s why we love the new simple human plastic pet food can which looks spiffy in our kitchen and keeps their dry food fresh.
A silicone gasket forms an airtight seal and the can includes a convenient scoop that attaches magnetically under the lid. Its large capacity is also ideal for storing other types of bulk food items such as flour, rice, sugar, charcoal, or bird seed.
We are giving one of these $59 handy-dandy cans in either black, grey or white – all you have to do is “like” us on Facebook or follow our Twitter feed.
The story I was writing about therapy dogs suddenly took on new urgency three days ago, when mega storm Sandy first started to threaten the East Coast.
With the first responders are very often trained dogs, to search for people, but their big job comes later, in helping the disaster victims recover. Study after study shows that animals reduce stress, anxiety and even blood pressure and help the ill, the aged and military personnel with war trauma. So Cesar brand pet cuisine initiative “Share a Story and Share the Love” is especially timely.
Using social media, Cesar plans to share some of the real-life heartwarming stories and highlight the therapy dogs who do so much to help people in need.
Dog–lover Hilary Duff is the campaign ambassador, sharing inspirational therapy dog stories with her Facebook friends and Twitter followers, and encouraging people to get involved.
“I’m honored to be a part of CESAR’s “Share a Story and Share the Love” campaign,” explained Duff. “My dogs have so much love to give and their constant support makes my world a happier place. Like CESAR, I want to help tell the uplifting stories about these incredible therapy dogs.”
(The Good Dog Foundation) is the east coast leader in certified therapy dog teams that provide animal-assisted therapy through the use of professionally trained, fully certified and supervised volunteer teams who work to aid the healing process in humans and enhance clients’ quality of life through a focus on education, health care and wellness, research, and disaster response.
Ever feel guilty while enjoying a nice cold one while Fido gives you that “what about me” stare? Weeeell, give your best friend a Browser Beer! While this may sound like a bad TV commercial, there is a new beer made specifically for our four-legged party dogs.
Made with beef or chicken, malt barley (full of B-vitamins) with an shot of glucosamine for joint health, it’s non-alcoholic and Fluffy will love it.
Taste-a-monials (sorry) suggest pouring it over dry kibble. Would will kid you about this?
