When we think of a vacation, sun, sea and cocktails quickly spring to mind.
But imagine if you could have those three elements– and more– while being submerged underwater.
These facets are about to become a reality when The Water Discus Hotel in Dubai finally opens its doors.
The hotel will feature 21 rooms, all, naturally, with an incredible view, and the opulence of any great hotel. It is set to be the world’s largest underwater hotel.
The hotel has been designed by Polish company Deep Ocean Technology and is backed by Swiss Company BIG InvestConsult AG.
Enjoying the peace and quiet of being outside with room temperature-perfect weather in Dubai, with time to take in the air, look at the stars, and think.
I am having nostalgic thoughts about the people in my life who are no longer with me all of the time anymore. I definitely miss them, or at least who they used to be, or who I thought they were.
But I feel blessed to have my loyal and trusting friends, who I feel happy with, just having a good laugh.
I am eternally grateful for the friends I’ve had the longest, who haven’t changed a bit, who adore and accept me exactly how I am, and take pride in who I have become…
It was time to leave Dubai for a while and escape the heat. As much as I wanted to bring my loved one’s to me and stay by the sea, that couldn’t be.
So, I said goodbye to Dubai, (for now).
As I sit waiting for my flight in the Emirates 1st Class Lounge, I can’t stop thinking of the love that awaits me back in USA… LA here I come!
I am ecstatic to see my family, my friends and, of course, my loving fluffy, furry friends: My Poms! My Snowbear is the best pillow in the world and my tiny Rose is still a spunky puppy.
And I can’t wait to hit my favorite restaurants in LA as well! Afterall, a girls gotta eat:-)
As soon as I land, I’m heading straight to Mr.Chow: It is one of my all-time favorite places to have dinner and I always receive a very warm welcome and the service is spectacular.
I find that sometimes the harder you try to reach a goal, the more elusive it seems. If it’s meant to be, it will be. I think we need to let God and the Universe work things out for us.
Things are really heating up here in Dubai, so it is time to cool things down for a while.
Never make a permanent decision based on a temporary emotion and never make a decision until you have to. I did make some serious wishes in the sea today and the waves were magically cool and rolling in all over me. So far, so good! Ski time :-)
ALWAYS expect the unexpected! And be careful never to jump to conclusions.
Never, ever expect anything from anyone but from yourself. Be aware of your surroundings and expect trust to be built.
Never make a quick decision, especially when you are angry or tired. When you are happy, remember these moments and cherish them.
If someone treats you badly, just remember that everyone is hungry for power. But ultimately, everyone wants love, loyalty, friendship and attention.
I’m loving the beautiful red flowers blossoming on the trees in the spring of Dubai. When I see this, my heart fills with hope, desire and love. My life has become better than any fantasy I could ever imagine. Thank you, God! I love you!
This last week was splattered with so many unbelievably great surprises here in Dubai! A dear friend from L.A showed up unexpectedly and I had dinner with my most important friends from Dubai.
With so much love surrounding me, it seems here in Dubai, miracles just keep happening everywhere around me, like falling stars! Every day seems to be out-doing the next.
My wishes that I make in the sea, keep coming true.
As my best friend here, who first introduced me to Dubai, once said, it has a magical sea and it is a very magical city!
I feel so close to God when I am over here in this part of the world. The sound of the call to prayer, brings peace and comfort to my soul. There are so many religions, and the commonality is, that it is our intentions that count and it’s important that they come from a place of love.
I’ve learnt to embrace life, accept others for who they truly are and, most importantly, never judge others. Life isn’t perfect. We are not perfect. We must remember to forgive others, and, also, to forgive ourselves.
The more you have the, more you have to lose. The more you hope for, the more you can be disappointed. The more you love someone, the greater the fear you have of losing them is.
And, the more you trust and confide in someone, the more they can betray you in a greater way… but one should never stop loving, stop trusting, and always, always, should be ready to forgive.
Sometimes you just know you need to get away from it all to get a better perspective, and to see when things are and aren’t working.
When your $300,000 wedding ring is stolen from your home; when you are served a meaningless $3,000,000 civil lawsuit for something you didn’t do; when Rolex and Cartier watches are hundreds of thousands of dollars are taken from you… these devastating events are signs from above that changes need to be made.
Couple this, with gay pals claiming engagements news and running to press with untrue marriage plans and false diamond rings… it’s pretty clear that it is time to leave the old life behind.
The Universe gives us signs and it’s up to us to see them….

This last week has been full of so many superior highs & deep lows…The most valuable lesson I have learned is to always stay positive and believe in what you want to believe because the mind is a very powerful tool!
In life we will find many people who love us, many people who hate us, but it’s the indifferent ones that should bother you the most, because those that hate you are actually giving you their energy.
I thank God every second for the strength he gives me and for blessing me with the best family and friends in the world! I Love you all (you know who you are…XOXO)!
What a fun-filled eventful week! Dubai, you never cease to amaze me!
I decided to try another hotel which is part of the Jumeirah Group, The Jumeirah Emirates Tower. It is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and is close to all of the action. I went to the lounge on the 51st floor,what a scenic night view!
I still spent every day at my favorite beach in Madinat Jumeirah I met up with friends who are staying at The Shangri la Hotel & we had a fabulous time at their pool.
Today we saw a movie at the Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world. Now I am having dinner at an excellent seafood restaurant called Sammach in Downtown Dubai.The night is still young…
