Sometimes you can’t have too much of a good thing, and such is the case with Gerard Butler.
A slew of stars came out on Monday night to celebrate the premiere of the Scottish hunk’s new film, Olympus Has Fallen.

Aaron Eckhart, Danny Masterson, Chris Masterson, Wilmer Valderrama, Rick Yune, Morgan Freeman, Giles Marini and Ashley Judd were among the celebs that were spotted at the after-party in Los Angeles at the ArcLight Hollywood.
Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd had a reunion of sorts on the red carpet and shared several laughs. Matt Damon and his wife (being a little camera-shy) were seen talking to Gerard Butler inside the party and both Aaron Eckhart and Danny Masterson munched on Fatburgers while hanging out with friends. Danny also ran into former “That 70’s Show” castmate Wilmer Valderrama and the two posed for photos.

He may be one of Scotland’s most famous exports, but despite his success in Hollywood, Gerard Butler has his priorities in check and knows that family comes first.
The 43-year-old hunk took his mom and dad to the premiere of his latest flick Olympus Has Fallen at the ArcLight cinema in Los Angeles on Monday night.
But before hitting the red carpet, he posed with his proud parents Edward and Margaret for the cute snap above and shared it with his followers on Twitter.
“Folks in town for the premiere. My mum loves watching me kick some ass (especially when it’s the bad guys),” he wrote in the accompanying caption.
Despite his tough exterior, Gerard continues to show he is a softie at heart — earlier this month he sent his mom 10 bouquets of flowers to celebrate her 70th birthday.

The jury may still be out over Seth MacFarlane’s stint as Oscars host, but one funnyman getting a whole lot of laughs is Jimmy Kimmel.
The late night host celebrated the 2013 Academy Awards with his annual post-Oscars special , which included a sequel to his first fake film last year, Movie: The Movie, which has generated over 20 million hits since it hit YouTube last year.
So, naturally a sequel had to be done.
“When you have a big success in Hollywood,” Kimmel says, “there’s only one reasonable thing you can do—and that is cheapen it with a sequel.”
Once again the cast in the trailer for the fake flick, read like a who’s who of Hollywood heavy hitters including Jessica Chastain, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Oprah Winfrey, Bradley Cooper, to name just a few.
And, of course, there was an appearance by Matt Damon!

Could notorious ladies man Gerard Butler be ready to settle down?
The actor is said to be “totally in love” with Romanian supermodel Madalina Ghenea, who previously dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
“For the first time, he’s totally in love,” a source tells the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. “He was a total bachelor, but he thinks he’s found ‘the one.’”
The pair met last spring while shooting a razor ad. They were first spotted together in Cannes in May. “Don’t be surprised if he proposes,” the source adds. “He’s head over heels.”
Butler, who has previously been linked to Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz “ is totally in love and ready to settle down,” shares the source.

This is the first footage (posted below) of the frightening moment Gerard Butler came close to losing his life while filming his latest movie.
Butler was seriously injured while filming the surfing drama Chasing Mavericks in 2011 and shared the footage of the incident on Monday’s “Good Morning America”.
The video shows him paddling on his board and a huge wave can be seen crashing over Butler’s head, leaving him trapped beneath the water for almost a minute.
As the Scottish star watched the footage, he said: “That’s crazy. Even when I see that it brings back memories.”
Butler recently spoke out how the incident lead him to seek treatment– the 42-year-old actor checked into the Betty Ford Centre in February for three weeks.
“Maybe a stronger person wouldn’t have needed to go. But I’m glad I did it,” he revealed.
He also strongly denied that he went to rehab for a battle with alcoholism.
“I haven’t had a drink in 15 years,” he told Men’s Journal. He added that after the accident, he had “visceral’ flashbacks” and his mind ended up in a place where he “didn’t want it to be.”
“I’ve made a s***load of wrong decisions in my life,” he added. ”But I know I’ve made some right ones as well.”
