Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are the proud parents of a baby girl.
Dax, 38, announced the arrival of their little bundle of joy via Twitter.
“Lincoln Bell Shepard is here,” he tweeted earlier Thursday. “She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!”
“My new roommate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent…basically Dax pre-sobriety,” Bell,32, adds. “Welcome baby Lincoln.”
The couple announced the pregnancy in November.
Last week we shared the story how Dax introduced his dying dad to his unborn child.
In a heartbreaking blog post on Don’t Try, Dax wrote about the moment Kristen walked into the room and how he is forever indebted.
“At one point, unbeknownst to both of us, my wife walked into the room…She lifted her shirt up and he put his hand on her swollen stomach. He left it there for the better part of an hour.
“He was smiling from ear to ear, sitting contently, unable to put together a sentence, but still capable of connecting to the new family member we were creating.
“He wasn’t going to make it to the birth, but that didn’t get in the way of him meeting the new baby. It was an emotional and triumphant moment. One I will never forget. If I live to be a thousand, I will still be in debt to my wife for giving him that one last thrill.”
The couple, who got engaged in 2009 after two years of dating, say they are waiting until gay marriage has been made legal in their home state of California before they may it official, even though Dax refers to Kristen as his wife.
