New Orleans is flooded with fans awaiting Sunday’s NFL Super Bowl and if you’re a reporter covering the lead-up to the event on Bourbon Street, you expect that some revellers are going to be on the tipsy side.
So Orlando, Fla., TV reporter Jessica Sanchez’s way of tackling a situation when a woman crashed her TV interview, is causing debate over whether her response was funny, or just plain mean.
A party-goer walked behind Sanchez during her report for Orlando’s Local 6 News and yelled, “Whoo! Go 49ers!”
Sanchez then asked the woman if she would like to be interviewed, to which she agreed.
“We were just talking about, here on Bourbon Street, the STD rate that’s going on here. So how long have you had an STD?” Sanchez asked her.
“I don’t have an STD,” the stunned woman responds.
“Ohhh, then why did you want to talk?” Sanchez quips.
“I don’t have an STD; that is so disrespectful,” the woman answers before walking away.
Her voice dripping with sarcasm, Sanchez turns back to the camera and says: “Anyway, so I’ve been taking care of that in my own little way. “You can see what I’ve been having to deal with out here.”
Watch the footage below and decide if you think she handled the situation the right way, or the wrong way…
