But it is pretty evident which role brings Jessica Simpson the most happiness — that of being a mom.

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes video from Jessica’s show “Fashion Star,” the singer-turned-entrepreneur beams with pride as she shows off her daughter Maxwell to the crew.

“Isn’t she cute?” Jessica gushes over the 11-month-old tot. ”She’s my little munchkin.”

The pregnant 32-year-old recently revealed she is expecting a baby boy with fiance Eric Johnson while chatting live on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show.

“The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous,” she quipped, before realizing she had just made a major slip of the tongue.

She added: “Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”

One of the downsides of being a star is being confused for another celebrity by photographers.

But on this occasion, the paps really can’t be blamed for mistaking Carrie Underwood for say, Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears.

In what may deem suspicious, the country cutie exited a building that houses several doctors including that of a plastic surgeon, in the dark of the night on Thursday.

Covering her face, the singer was with heavy security as she left the building in Beverly Hills.

It’s a boy for Jessica Simpson, but you will never guess how she confirmed the news

Despite intense prodding from Ellen, Jessica Simpson was careful not to reveal the gender of her second child during an interviewed which aired on Wednesday.

But  with a slip of the tongue, the news was out when she made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night chat show.

The 32-year-old finally confirmed what was widely speculated — she is having a boy.

And how she broke the news, well, it was in typical Jessica fashion.

“It’s a totally different pregnancy. I just feel awful. I’ve been vomiting. The crazy thing is I never knew that a wiener could actually make me nauseous,” the 32-year-old said.

After realizing what she had just said, Jess added: ”Oh shoot! Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”

Jimmy tried to make light of the announcement after realizing that Jessica hadn’t planned on revealing her big news.

“I didn’t even know what was happening,” he said. “I thought maybe you were having a girl with a penis. I don’t know. Well, congratulations.”

And after the ad break, Jess continue to berate herself for her slip.

“I just did it so crude too. I feel awful. I talked about wieners,” she sighed.

But Jess, who already has a daughter Maxwell with fiancé Eric Johnson, seemed to calm down later in the evening as she took to Twitter, writing: ”Accidental announcement tonight on @jimmykimmel”

Video: Jessica Simpson reveals pregnancy is tougher the second time around

Don’t expect Jessica Simpson to pile on 70 pounds during her second pregnancy — the star revealed that her snack of choice this time around is Tums.

The 32-year-old opened up about being pregnant again on the Wednesday March 7 episode of “Ellen”, saying she and fiancé Eric Johnson were stunned to learn they were expecting a second child just seven months after she gave birth to Maxwell.

“We’re happy . . . We were definitely extremely shocked,” Jessica says. “Apparently, protection just went out the window. I feel like I’m always pregnant. We’re very happy.”

But this time around, pregnancy is tough for the “Fashion Star” mentor.

“This pregnancy is the complete opposite. Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted,” she explains. “I had a lot of energy. This time around . . . I’m like exhausted. Eating Tums. That’s my snack of choice.”

As to the gender of her soon-to-be bundle of joy, Jess was hesitant to confirm the widely speculated reports that she is having a boy.

“Well I don’t know,” she says when Ellen quizzed her. “I haven’t said what it’s going to be yet.”

However, when she was backed into a corner and had to choose between two onsies, she choose the one for Maxwell which reads “I love my brother”.

Jessica Simpson reportedly already chosen name for second baby

Well, that’s just Ace!

According to a new report in Us Weekly, Jessica Simpson has already chosen the name for her second baby with fiance Eric Johnson

“[She's] told people she’s going to name the baby Ace!” the source told Us Weekly. Simpson, 32, is already mom to 10-month-old daughter Maxwell. The singer hasn’t yet revealed how she and Johnson, 33, decided upon the name, however.

Since the mag was right about Jess being pregnant for the second time, we’re inclined to believe this report.

Last year, Jessica revealed that Maxwell’s name was a tribute to both her family and her NFL player fiancé’s – Maxwell is Johnson’s middle name as well as his grandmother’s surname, and Drew is Simpson’s mother Tina’s maiden name.

Jessica Simpson Gives a Sneak Peek at her Spring 2013 Collection!

Jessica Simpson has been teasing her followers on Twitter with photos of her new spring clothing and jewelry lines.  From tie-dye to denim, the new collection is All-American, fun, classic and comfortable!  Best of all, Jessica Simpson’s clothes are not just for size 6 and under.  She includes plus and maternity sizes as well.  With Jessica being pregnant with baby number 2, who better to model maternity wear than her?  However, the new collection photos don’t reveal any baby bumps.  Jessica is, however, glowing in the photo shoot.  She looks way less than pregnant, and very much in shape!  Work it, Jess!

Jessica Simpson’s wedding location revealed

She and fiancé, Eric Johnson, have already set two wedding dates, but their plans keep getting postponed with Jessica Simpson falling pregnant.

But now the couple are hoping that third time will be the charm– and they have found the ideal location.

In Touch is reporting that Jess and Eric will tie the knot in the backyard of their $13 million Hidden Hills, Calif., mansion, which was previously owned by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. [The couple are currently in the process of buying the sprawling abode.]

“Jessica loves to throw parties at home,” a friend of the star tells this week’s issue of In Touch. “Getting married there will make the home that much more special to her and Eric.”

While they’ve yet to set a date for the big day — “We’ve had two different wedding dates, but Eric keeps knocking me up!” Jessica, 32, recently joked — the pair have told pals they hope to wed this summer after baby No. 2 arrives.

“Jessica’s been busy, but she’s making sure to put her personal life first,” the source tells In Touch, adding that the couple’s 9-month-old daughter, Maxwell, will play a special part in the ceremony.

Someone wants to help with the dishes!

Jessica Simpson shared this precious snap of her nine-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew balancing precariously in a sink.

The proud mama, who is expecting her second child with Eric Johnson, posted the photo to Twitter on Friday to mark a big day in her young daughter’s life.

“My lil dollface is 9 months today!” Simpson wrote in the photo caption.

So sweet!
