For us, this is just plain weird, but perhaps you might not think so.
In Touch is reporting that Jessica Simpson now has earrings to match her engagement ring — and not from her hubby!
The singer’s dad, Joe Simpson, 54, gave his daughter a pair of ruby-and-gold hoop earrings from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills. “They had to search for the perfect rubies since the gems on her ring are vintage and rare. Joe wanted an exact match,” an insider tells the new issue of In Touch, adding “The gift brought Jess to tears.”
Insiders agree that “Papa” Joe adores daughter Jessica, 32, and went all out. “Jess and Eric thought it was the most thoughtful gift,” says the source.
Like we said, maybe it is just us that finds the concept of a father buying his daughter earrings to match her engagement ring, a little peculiar.
Over the Christmas period, rumors of a wedding between Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson gained momentum.
But as it turns out, the announcement Jessica made was that she was expecting for the second time.
Now the star is revealing that she and Eric, who have been engaged now for two years, have tried to marry twice, but due to her falling pregnant, the couple have had to postpone their plans.
“We’ve had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up,” Jessica revealed when she appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Tuesday night.
“We’re doing it very backwards, I know… I’ll just keep my legs crossed, I guess, this time,” she joked.
The 32-year-old also said that she was shocked to discover she was expecting again, since daughter Maxwell is only eight months old.
“Apparently it was a part of God’s plan for my life. I was extremely shocked because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened, all over again!”
This time around, Jess says she is taking a healthier eating approach and admits she put on ”a lot more than doctors would recommend” when she was pregnant with Maxwell. [Jess piled on 50lbs]
“I was really happy to be pregnant and I didn’t ever step on the scale. I didn’t realise you could gain that much weight that quickly,” she explained. ”I didn’t really make any healthy good decisions.”
Jess has a new sitcom in the works with NBC, which she will produce and star in.
“I will be playing myself, which is pretty easy,” she told Leno about the show that is based on her life.
Watch Jess reveal all about marriage and babies below….
During her first pregnancy Jessica Simpson gained 60 pounds.
But this time around, the star is taking a healthier approach instead of indulging in her favorite Southern fried food.
A source close to the star tells Life & Style, on newsstands now, “She hasn’t quite lost all the weight from her previous pregnancy, so she wants to gain only 25 to 30 pounds this time.” The source continues, “She wants to be healthy.”
And though she definitely won’t be dieting during her pregnancy, Jessica has decided to keep the personal chef she hired while on Weight Watchers. “She learned a lot while losing the weight she gained with Maxwell,” a friend adds. “She knows about empty calories and portion control. Before, she knew very little about nutrition.”
For weeks now, Jessica Simpson has stayed mum about the persistent rumors she was pregnant with her second child.
But on Christmas Day, she revealed her big news in the sweetest of ways.
The 32-year-old, who is engaged to Eric Johnson, posted a picture of her seven-month-old daughter Maxwell sitting in garden with the words “BIG SIS” scrawled in the sand.
“Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” the accompanying caption read.
[Jessica confirmed her first pregnancy on Twitter also, tweeting on Halloween in October 2011: "It's true, I'm going to be a mummy!"]
The tweet that confirmed Jessica’s big news
Contrary to reports that Weight Watchers were furious that the star was pregnant again after she justlost over 50 pounds, the company said they were “thrilled” by Jessica’s news.
“Congrats to @JessicaSimpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell! Your WW family is so thrilled for you,” they tweeted out.
And the company has insisted that no changes have been made in their $4 million business deal.
“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica,” a representative for Weight Watchers told ABCNews.com. “Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”
That video dropped just a few hours ago and is featured below. It was shot at the same time as her “Expect Amazing” commercial.
The Weight Watchers rep added that Jessica “will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy. After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program.”
Oh, baby it’s cold outside, so keep your feet warm without sacrificing your style.
A host of stars have fallen in love with the Australia Luxe Collective boots, which will keep your feet warm all winter long.
Jessica Simpson and AnnaLynne McCord were recently both spotted in the Atilla boot. Jessica wore the boot in chestnut paired with an oversized sweater, while AnnaLynne sported the boot in gray along with her winter jacket.
This fur embellished boot features a wrap chain and charm detailing that makes it both cozy and chic.
She’s been mum on the endless speculation and reports that she is pregnant with her second child, but as they say, actions speaker louder than words.
And looking for a bigger home certainly could signal that Jessica Simpson is expecting baby number two.
Life & Styleis reporting that Jessica has made an offer on Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s $13 million Hidden Hills, Calif., house.
“Jessica wants a new place, a sort of fresh start,” a friend of the singer/fashion designer tells the new issue of Life & Style, on stands now. “When Eric moved into Jessica’s house, it was always with the understanding that they would get a new place together.”
The couple — who got engaged in November 2010 — currently live in Jessica’s Beverly Hills home with their daughter, Maxwell, and are looking forward to starting over. “Jessica’s house is very ‘shabby chic’ and romantic, it’s just not man-friendly. So they want a new house they can decorate together — a place they can call their own,” the friend shares.
And the Osbourne’s pad certainly fits the bill: The light-filled 10,000-square-foot house features six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, two offices, huge walk-in closets, plus a recording studio and a stunning pool.
Lastly, we would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family: Petzter! With so much doom and gloom we felt that we all needed a little daily injection of cuteness and sweetness. Meet our Pet of the Week [Petzter]
And here is a sweet story that will no doubt make you cry [Petzter]
Throughout her ups and downs, CaCee Cobb has always stood by Jessica Simpson’s side. So naturally, when CaCee walked down the aisle on Dec. 15, it was Jess’ turn to stand by her friend as she served as her maid of honor.
And in this exclusive photos obtained by Life & Style, Jessica and CaCee prove that their friendship was built to stand the test of time.
CaCee and Donald Faison’s wedding was held at the home of Donald best man — and Scrubs co-star — Zach Braff. And the event was as luxurious as it gets: Guests munched on mini hamburgers while they sipped on pear-and-chili mint juleps. Inspired by CaCee’s Southern roots, the menu included yummy dishes like fried chicken, collard greens and sweet potato pie. For dessert, guests snacked on butterscotch pudding, red velvet mini-cakes and apple pie.
But while it was CaCee’s big day, all eyes were also on Jess and those pregnancy rumors. Though it is impossible to catch a glimpse of a possible bump in the photo above, her face looks puffy and her chest looks bigger, which are generally tell-tale signs of a baby on the way.
What do you think? Preggers or too much Southern comfort food?
Celebrities, just like the rest of America, yesterday bunkered down with their loved ones to say “Thanks”.
And it seems a great day was had by all (with the exception of Gabriel Aubry, Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry, of course).
