The French singer, model and actress is best known in this country for her long-time relationship with Johnny Depp (they split last year ) which is a shame since she is so talented. She became a child star at 14 with the worldwide success of her single Joe Le Taxi (you can find it on Spotify) and since 1991, Paradis has been a spokesmodel for Chanel. Vanessa also has an equally impressive film career, winning a César (France’s Oscar).
The French beauty is also known for her inimitable style, who can mix a vintage Chanel jacket with torn jeans and make it look casually perfect. This made her the prefect choice to curate a collection for H&M, called the “Conscious Collection.”
Since we’ve always wanted to emulate that French style je ne sais quoi thing, we’ll take her lead.
What attracted you to H&M’s Conscious Collection?
I really like what H&M has been doing lately by inviting a bunch of different designers and artists to work with them so when they approached me, I was really flattered. Also, it’s a very popular brand and very accessible to everybody around the world so I liked the idea of being part of something like the Conscious Collection.
Do you try to shop more consciously?
I try my best in little ways. For example, vintage is very much a part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in that eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes – whether I use them just as they are or I have them transformed, or transform them myself. I also try to shop reasonably, I mean, if there is such a word in shopping! I’m very fortunate to have a lot of clothes offered to me, but when I shop I try to buy something that I really need or really love.

On the back of the news that she secretly split with long time beau Johnny Depp TWO YEARS ago, Vanessa Paradis doesn’t appear to be crying over spilt milk. In fact, the actress appeared happier (and more stylish) than ever when she was pictured in Cabourg, France.
The model, actress, and singer was seen wearing 80%20 booties while signing photographs and walking the beach with her co-stars from her upcoming movie Je Me Suis Fait Tout Petit (I Was Made Very Small).
Now we all want a pair!

For months now, the rumors that there was trouble in paradise for Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have grown louder and louder.
While it has become increasingly evident that the pair, who have been together for 14 years and have two children together, were living separate lives, both seemed reluctant to address their relationship woes.
But today, they announced they were calling it quits on their relationship.
The couple “have amicably separated,” Depp’s publicist said in a statement released to Entertainment Tonight Tuesday. “Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”
Incidentally, the pair, who first got together in 1998, haven’t appeared on the red carpet together for a year.
Depp, 49, and Paradis, 39, never married, with the French actress explaining that it was something she “could do without”.
Paradis told Elle: “I love the romance of ‘let’s get married,’ but then, when you have it so perfect … I mean, I’m more married than anybody can be – we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it’s something I can really do without.”
If after 14 years their relationship falters, we have to ask: Which Hollywood couple is headed to splitsville next?

The speculation that Vanessa Paradis 14-year relationship with Johnny Depp is over has been endless.
And neither party has helped quell the mounting tide of reports of their separation by remaining defiantly silent….. until now.
“People say we are buying houses in the middle of nowhere, or that we have fifty two houses in France,” she said.
“And that is along with saying we split up every winter and get married every summer, and that I’m on my twelfth pregnancy.
“All that is not too serious, but this latest one is a rumour which could cause a lot of harm to my family and my children.”
When pushed about a split with Johnny, she replied: “Yes it’s false – of course it’s false.”
