Barefaced Beauties: AnnaLynne McCord is the latest star to go makeup-free and share with the world her real side

She’s often found herself the subject of articles which seem to derive some sort of pleasure out of exposing her physical flaws.

But instead of slapping on a face full of warpaint, AnnaLynne McCord has posted a photo of herself on Twitter makeup-free.

The 90210 star’s decision to so, she explained, was because she’s sick of Hollywood’s obsession with perfection.

“I woke up this morning and decided I’m over Hollywood’s perfection requirement.

“To all my girls (and boys) who have ever been embarrassed by their skin! I salute you! I’m not perfect–and that’s okay with me!”

And we salute AnnaLynne… for, by exposing herself as a natural beauty with blemishes and all, she helps real women out there feel better about themselves.  Because, when the heavy make up and photoshopping is brushed aside, stars really are just like us….and no one is perfect.

Cat's revealing all the red carpet secrets of the stars

It’s award season time again! Stylists are working over time to find their clients the ultimate dress that will win them coverage in the magazines, news papers and quite possible on E!’s Fashion Police. Clients can be won or lost, according to the warmth of response to their fashion choices. Can the same be said about the beauty products the stars are using? I was lucky enough to go to a number of  Golden Globes gifting suites and try out the products that make Cameron Diaz hair shine, Angelena Joli’s legs smooth and Kim Kardasian smooth and wrinkle free and here are my favorites so far…..

Fake Bake is the premier self tanning product, as well as my personal favorite, as it reacts to the skins natural pigment making you go the shade you would naturally in the sun and not the dirty brown or orange certain other products are known to do. All of their self tanning creams are easy to use at home, and  there is a great make up line consisting of natural looking bronzers and gorgeous lip glosses, with colors that compliment your tan and make you look like the sun kissed goddess you are. I have to say a personal huge ‘Thank you!’ to Tamara Czartorski, Ambassador for Fake Bake. She made sure I left the suite looking as if I had come back from a week in the Caribbean instead of being stuck in London for a month. My hubbie was most impressed! 

Hair salon 901 in West Hollywood was the host of the gifting suite and responsible for creating some of the most gorgeous waves, plaits and up does on the red carpet. Having recently decided  to cut my own hair, a mistake I do every year, my stylist Amber Maynard saved my shame by even-ing out my attempts at layering and straightening out my lopsided cut. THANK YOU !
Another great product that the stars are using is Bio Oil. Alyssa Millano, Kim Kardasian, Victoria Beckham ,Stella McCartney, to name but a few, all swear by the product that removes stretch marks as well as being an all round fantastic moisturizing product. This multi faceted product is a non- acneagenic product, hyp alergic and is made up from a mixture of plant oil and vitamins without being greasy. Its available in drug stores nationwide and most importantly does not have a celebrity only price tag. I have been using it as a body and face moisturizer after showering to help keep my spray tan looking fresh and I have to say I am very impressed with the results so far!

I’ll be testing more products from the red carpet to recommend to you over the coming weeks. Remember; ‘Beauty is only skin deep’, so make sure you dam well look after it!
