Kirk Cameron hasn’t been making many friends of late after revealing on Friday to Piers Morgan that he believes homosexuality is “unnatural… I think that it’s detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
Since then, the furore has grown, with many taking to twitter to slam his beliefs.
Now, he’s former Growing Pains co-stars Tracey Gold and Alan Thicke have joined the ranks of those slamming his comments.
Tracey Gold posted “I am a strong supporter of the #LGBT Community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE” and changed her profile picture to a shot of her participating in the “NO H8” campaign.
Alan Thicke who played Cameron’s on screen televisions father Jason Seaver tweeted – “I’ll deal with Kirk’s comments as soon as I recover from Rush Limbaugh’s.”
Other stars who have criticized the actor include Craig Ferguson, who wrote: ”Rush makes me ashamed to be a middle aged white man and Kirk Cameron makes me ashamed to be a failed actor. We don’t all think like that NoH8.”
Roseanne said: ”Kirk or kurt or whatever Cameron is an accomplice to murder with his hate speech. So is rick warren. Their peers r killing gays in Uganda.”
Whilst Dave Holmes tweeted: ”Remember yesterday afternoon, when Kirk Cameron’s views were none of our concern? Let’s restore America to that golden age.”
