On Monday it emerged that Janet Jackson is a married woman!
The 46-year-old singer tied the knot with Qatari businessman, Wissam Al Mana last year.
“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true,” they told ETOnline, which broke the official wedding news. “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”
The couple adds, “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities.”
“We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy,” the two said in their statement, signing off, “With love, Wissam and Janet”
This is a third marriage for Jackson, 46, who was previously wed to James DeBarge and René Elizondo, Jr…. and she initially kept that wedding a secret too!

The star of “The Bachelorette” married J.P. Rosenbaum in a romantic ceremony on Saturday and this is the first photo from the nuptials, which was obtained by In Touchmagazine.
The mag has all the inside scoop on Hebert’s big day….
“Ashley’s gown was $70,000 and designed by New York designer Randi Rahm,” a wedding guest tells In Touch of the bride’s dress. But even expensive gowns aren’t exempt from wardrobe malfunctions! Ashley’s fairy-tale dress ended up getting caught to — and from — the altar!
“Apparently Ashley got a little too excited to rush up the stairs to her waiting groom, and her dress got stuck!” our insider reveals. “The bride did a little dance on the platform of the arbor while J.P. rushed back down the stairs to grab her train.”
But it didn’t faze the bride!
“She began to walk, but looks over her shoulder and holds out her hand waiting for him to come with her!” our insider reveals of the cute incident. “After the ceremony, J.P. kisses his new bride, then she gets caught on part of the stairs. She knows J.P. is there to help her out, and he rushes down the stairs to get her train fixed.”
And while Ashley looked fantastic, her dress was apparently so heavy that she had problems dancing at the reception … and according to our insider, there was a lot of it!
“The first dance was to Matt White’s song ‘Love,’ which he performed for them,” the insider tells In Touch. “This wedding was not for show — they are legitimately in love and so, so happy.”
But that was just the beginning. Joining in on the festivities, the guests and newlyweds continued to bust a move until the end of the night.
“At the end of the reception, they did the traditional Hora dance, lifting Ashley and J.P. up on chairs as everyone danced around them,” the guest shares, adding that “there was a really good DJ.”
Overall, the wedding seemed to be a hit and love was definitely in the air for the couple that broke the Bachelorette curse.
“The wedding was beautiful,” our insider shares. “I overheard a guest gushing, ‘Ash and J.P. are the real thing. It’s rare these days. You can tell he is so in love with her the way he rushed down to fix her dress…’”
Are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel now man and wife? Janet Charlton is reporting that the pair wed on Saturday and pulled a “fast one“.
According to Charlton, the pair who got engaged at the end of 2011, are said to have tied the knot in Jackson Hole, Wyoming… the same place Timberlake popped the question.
On Friday Charlton wrote: “Hold everything!! Justin Timberlake has been located, and he’s in the middle of saying “I do!” A source just told us that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are getting married in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as we write this! They pulled a fast one on everybody! They are in the middle of their ceremony at a very fancy private estate and members of the wedding party are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel there. Jessica lied in a recent interview when she was asked about the upcoming nuptials and insisted “We haven’t planned a thing!”
She then updated her site on Satuday with the following: ”Last night turned out to be the rehearsal dinner and the wedding is actually today!”
So far both of their reps are keeping mom on whether they are now Mr.& Mrs. Timberlake…
There’s trouble in paradise for Twilight’s favorite couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson after bombshell reports this morning from US Weekly that Stewart had a fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders
And, they have the photos of the steamy rendezvous to prove it.
On July 17 in L.A., Stewart, 22, was caught canoodling Sanders, 41, who is married to British Vogue model Liberty Ross, 33 .
He also has two children, ages 7 and 5.
US Weekly reports that Stewart and Sanders enjoyed a marathon makeout session and, “it seemed like they couldn’t get enough,” according to one photographer.
Meanwhile, a source tells People.com that Kristen had a lapse of judgement.
“Kristen is absolutely devastated,” one source tells the site. “It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment.
“She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened,” says the source. “She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”
Is Stewart “absolutely devastated” because she was caught?
It was a monumental day in more ways than one. On Saturday, Alec Baldwin wed Hilaria Thomas in New York and he did so without attacking anyone!
The “30 Rock” star has had numerous heated confrontations with photographers in the weeks leading up to the nuptials.
Just days before his wedding, he hilariously called a photographer a “little girl” while he himself was carrying a pink toy (we’ve included that clip at the end of this article).
And what came as a surprise to many, Baldwin was cool, calm and collected on his wedding day, where guests including Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, Woody Allen, Jimmy Fallon and Mariska Hargitay, his brothers Billy and Stephen his daughter Ireland saw him tie the knot.
Following the wedding, Baldwin and Thomas tweeted photos of their wedding rings (the couple spent their first day of marital bliss in a decidedly low-key way, walking around Washington Square Park and taking in the Euro Cup).
The caption accompanying the photo of his ring, read: “June 30th, 2012″. While his new wife, who changed her twitter handler to @HilariaBaldwin, wrote: “What a weekend”.
But this morning, fans of the actor were in for a shock.
“It’s been fun,” he tweeted, and just like that, his account was gone.
One can only hope it will return with some more amusing antidotes sometime soon.
Speaking of entertaining quips, Baldwin is Vanity Fair’s latest cover star, and he reveals that among other things, he fantasized about beating his ex-wife’s lawyer “with a baseball bat,” and details homicidal daydreams for TMZ’s Harvey Levin, who posted the infamous voice-mail recording of the star berating his young daughter.
“I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him, and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes,” Baldwin explains.
But he insists that he has since calmed down.
“You have to let that go,” Baldwin says. “Enough time — I mean, it does heal wounds.”
We certainly wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Baldwin and his volatile temper.
This clip below is reason enough….oh, and incidentally, do you know how Baldwin met his new wife? He walked up to her in a restaurant and told her: “I must know you!”
It’s hard to believe that Elizabeth Smart is only 22, considering what she has already been through.
But, now, she sets off on a new chapter of her life, with a handsome husband, and a bright future ahead.

According to the mag, Elizabeth, who was kidnapped from her home in 2002 at age 14, told guests gathered at her reception that her wedding day was one of the happiest in her life.
“Matthew, I love you so much,” she said. “I couldn’t be happier. I am so grateful that everyone is here to be with and support us on this beautiful day. I love you so much.”
“They are clearly besotted with each other, and it’s a wonderful thing to see,” the groom’s mother, Kay Gilmour, the mag writes.
It’s nice to see she got her happy ending in the end.
