The past will not be forgotten, but in a sign of New York City’s resilience, the One World Trade Center will allow tourists and Manhattan residents alike, to marvel in the city’s glory when it opens its doors in 2015.
Port Authority officials unveiled on April 2 the stunning view from the top of One World Trade Center, a 360-degree eagle’s eye panorama that will instantly become one of the city’s premiere tourist attractions.
The deck showcases one of the greatest views of New York City – and one that hasn’t been seen since 9/11.
Rihanna may have forgiven him, but it doesn’t seem the public is as eager to forget Chris Brown’s vicious 2009 assault on the singer.
So much so, the R&B star was subjected to the loud sounds of booing when he took in a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden Sunday night.
According to the New York Daily News, Brown was sitting courtside with Spike Lee as the Knicks took on the Boston Celtics and he was jeered when his and the movie-maker’s faces appeared on the Jumbotron.
But the anger management-challenged star just sat there with a huge grin on that mug of his.
Oh, and it seems he and Rihanna are still going strong…. in case you lost sleep over the state of their relationship this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Brown insisted he was a changed man during an interview with Matt Lauer on the ”Today” show on Monday.
“I think it is just proving myself once again and me being a man. Knowing what I did was wrong and never doing it again,” he told Lauer.
“As far as she (Rihanna) and I are concerned, she knows my heart and I know her heart. I am not really focused on the negative, everything is positive for me. I did my 52 weeks of couselling and learned it was absolutely wrong,” he said.
Who’s that girl wandering around Times Square New York with a shirt over her face?
That would be aspiring fashion designer Amanda Bynes.
We guess she figured it was a good look.
The former Nickelodeon star was spotted on Tuesday wearing a blue button-up shirt on her head.
A source tells Us Weekly that the 26-year-old actress looked like she was “pretending to be a ghost,” while a second eyewitness notes that she was “walking into things because she couldn’t see.” At one point, the onlooker says, she ducked into a nearby McDonald’s, where she ordered a coffee and a soda and sipped both simultaneously.
The shirt incident is the latest exhibit in a string of increasingly bizarre behavior.
Last week she tweeted how she wanted rapper Drake to ”murder” her vagina.
Dina Lohan was certainly in high spirits when she attended Rock Love Art Ball on the lower East Side in New York on Tuesday night.
Lindsay’s mom attended the charity event alongside the likes of potential bidders Carlos Slim Helu, the world’s richest man, and Cuba Gooding Jr. and she exhibited some rather odd behavior including flailing her hands in the air and was seen laughing to herself.
“There was a dinner and it’s safe to say that Dina was drunk by the end of it,” says our spy. “She said the self-serve steak on the table was the best steak she had ever eaten. And when someone would receive an award, Dina would start clapping and stand up, the only one in the room standing.”
Our eyewitness says by the time the live auction came around, Dina was off to the races, “clapping and raising her hands in the air.”
“This prompted the auction leader to call out to her, ‘Ma’am, I have to remind you, when I see your hands above your eyebrows it means that you are bidding.’ She told her to stop jiggling around.”.
Dina, spotted getting wine refills during her meal, was also seen laughing to herself and getting a neck rub at the table. “A massage therapist went up to her table to chat with her. The next thing you know, Dina is getting a neck rub with her head down. The massage therapist said Dina had a lot of tension in her neck and is probably stressed out.”
It was rumored that daughter Lindsaywould be attending the event with mom, but she was a no-show.
Between cocktails, Dina did tell Confidenti@l she’s busy working on her memoirs.
“It’s totally cathartic, but my kids are like, write the book already. So I think it’s time. I’m doing it more for my children than for me to shed light on what really went down when Lindsay was little and what she had to deal with,” she said.
“It’s actually my life story, not about Lindsay and not about my ex. … I’m from A to M. … I guess I’m at M at this point; I don’t know. Not at Z yet,” she explained.
Somehow we think Dina may be snubbed for Mother of the Year.
What’s a girl to do after her comeback vehicle was universally panned and with legal troubles mounting?

TMZ reports that Lohan, after telling the woman to give her some space, or words to the effect, reportedly punched the woman in the face.
The other woman was not arrested or injured, according to WNBC News and Lohan was arrested and charged with third-degree assault at 4 a.m.
She has since been released from police custody.
And if this latest incident isn’t bad enough from a public relations stand point, it coud also land Lohan back behind bars.
She is on informal probation for removing a necklace from a California jewelry store last year, and could face potential jail time if she is re-arrested.
And, accordingly to TMZ, Lohan will reportedly be charged for lying to police about being behind the wheel during a car accident with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway in June. She is expected to face a judge in the coming days.

After four days without power since Hurricane Sandy hit, things are getting desperate in the lower regions of Manhattan, becoming to resemble more a war zone than the bustling hip neighborhoods they once were.
In this shocking footage, shot by NBC, families, elderly people and young residents are seen climbing into a dumpster in search for food.
The images were filmed on Thursday at a Key Food supermarket at Avenue A and East 4th Street in the East Village.
With many local delis and restaurants closed, plus their own food having turned soured due to having no power, people have been forced to do whatever they need to do to keep their families fed. Many residents from downtown are living in shelters as their own apartments are uninhabitable.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg yesterday said that the city was sending bottled water and ready-to-eat meals into the hardest-hit neighborhoods throughout the weekend.
But for some, the pressure of living through this unimaginable nightmare has become too much, with many people endeavoring to escape the Big Apple.
Braving atrocious conditions, New York journalist Casey Neistat and pals including Sean Avery spent four hours riding their bikes across lower Manhattan, documenting the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
The footage provides an incredible look at Sandy’s wrath on the city that never sleeps.
