The Great Getaway: At the W Hotel Times Square you’ll meet a Human Jukebox

Picture this: You walk into the elevator at the W hotel Times Square and are treated to an impromptu performance by electro-pop duo Cherub.

Taking the interactive music experience to a new level, the group is acting as a “Human Jukebox” on November 8th and 9th at the hotel and will perform tunes picked by guests and fans.

Fun loving music fans can request songs by tweeting to @Cherublamusica and @WHotelsNYC using the hash tag #WHumanJukeBox . Inspired by iconic jukeboxes, guests and locals alike can choose from an eclectic mix of indie pop, classic oldies and today’s hits including, Oasis’s Wonderwall, Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl, Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, Calvin Harris’s Feel So Close, Cherub’s Love You Right and more. Cherub is the dance “ love-child” of 80’s funk and pop-music from the future made up of Nashville natives, Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber and has played all the best indie festivals from Bonnaroo, SXSW, Electric Forest, Hangout Fest, to Snowball Music Fest.

It’s worth a visit or a drink in the “Living Room” just to catch this duo. Just watch out in the elevators.

Inside John Mayer and Katy Perry’s PDA-packed rendezvous in New York

Who said it wouldn’t last?

John Mayer and Katy Perry continue to make sweet, sweet music. The couple reunited for a rendezvous in New York this past weekend and by all accounts, they’re still hot and heavy.

On Oct.13, the music stars were spotted smooching by the DJ booth at Hotel Chantelle.

“John met Katy at the hotel and they sat at a table near the DJ booth the whole night, looking happy,” a guest at the hotel tells Life & Style. “They were kissing each other every now and then and left together at the end of the night.”

The next night it was a double date as they joined another guy and girl for dinner at Perla where Mayer was spotted feeding her from his fork.

“They came in around 9 p.m. with another guy and girl. During appetizers, Katy used her fork and her hands to eat off her and the others’ plates and John fed her with his fork!” the eyewitness tells Life & Style. “For the main course, the table shared a few dishes. And dieting seemed to be the furthest thing from Katy’s mind! She was eating large sums of pasta.”

“Katy and John sat across from one another,” adds the eyewitness. “They seemed relaxed and comfortable. Katy was over-the-moon happy … and laughing a lot. John was just as happy. They were really flirty. They kept leaning into each other over the table to talk and barely checked their phones.”

After finishing up at the restaurant, Mayer, 34, and Perry, 27, headed to private club Soho House in the Big Apple’s Meatpacking District, where they were spotted playing pool around midnight.

Could Perry be the one to finally tame the notorious lothario? Only time will tell..

Generally, people hit up bars to either celebrate, catch up with friends, or drown their sorrows.

And drinking tends to be number one on the agenda.

So as what was going through Robert Pattinson’s mind on Monday night in New York, is anyone’s guess.

The 26-year was captured drilling a hole into a table and it is not known why he had the power tool in his hand in the first place.

This picture has surfaced on Twitter, with the caption: “Memories from last night: #RobertPattinson using #powertools NY never ceases to #surprise @ Wooster St.”

We’re not so sure that it is NYC that is surprising…..

Kellan Lutz sent women into a tizzy with his swoon-worthy good looks when he walked the purple carpet at the iD Gum Launch Event at Helen Mills on Wednesday in New York.

He also revealed his passions in life.

“Alongside acting – I love inventing and I love art,”he said. “I grew up oil painting and inventing!”

Man claims Lohan was “slurring” her words and “smelled like alcohol real bad” when she hit him

The Manhattan chef who claims Lindsay Lohan hit him with her car in the early hours of Wednesday is speaking out and says the actress was drunk at the time.

Hours after the incident, which occurred at 12.30am in an alley between the Maritime and Dream hotels in Chelsea, cook Jose Rodriguez told the New York Daily News that Lohan “smelled like alcohol real bad.”

“She was slurring,” he added.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told the newspaper that police don’t think Lohan was drunk, BUT no Breathalyzer test was performed.

Lohan was arrested two hours after the 12:30 a.m. incident and was given a desk appearance ticket and released.

Recounting the incident, Rodriguez told the newspaper that he had just left Bottega, a restaurant at the adjacent Maritime, and was walking on the underground ramp when he “saw this car come real quick and hit me.”

“I was in so much pain,” he said. “I fell to the side.”

He says that he questioned Lohan, who he claims to have not recognized as the Mean Girls star, why she clipped him with her Porsche Cayenne.

“She said, ‘You have to get out of the way.’ She told me I have to move.”

“They acted like I was nothing,” he said. “That no one could touch her because she was rich and powerful.”

But her father, Michael Lohan, insists she has done nothing wrong and labeled the incident “a setup.”

And, on this occasion, he may be correct. TMZ are reporting that the surveillance video “ shows the guy… is grossly exaggerating.“

He is also said to be seen sprinting after Lohan.

Though the offence is a misdemeanour, it could trigger a probation violation.

Lindsay Lohan arrested… claims she was set up

Lindsay Lohan is back courting trouble again.

The wayward star was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning after allegedly clipping a man with her car and leaving the scene.

According to TMZ, who broke the story, a 34-year-old Hispanic male alleges that Lohan clipped him when she was driving her 2010 black Porsche Cayenne SUV in an alleyway between the Maritime and Dream Hotels, on 16th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. It is also alleged that after clipping the man, she or her occupant got out of the SUV to check the vehicle for damage, then the two went into the Dream.

Lohan was arrested when she left the venue at 2.30am.

The 26-year-old was booked for the misdemeanour offence of leaving the scene of an accident and released with a desk appearance ticket.

However, Lohan is claiming that she was set up. TMZ reports that she is describing the incident to friends as “really fishy” (the man was taken to hospital but appeared to have no any visible injuries) and plans to fight the claims.

As we know, this is not the first time Lohan has been involved in a car crashed, nor the first time she has proclaimed innocence.

In June of this year she smashed up another Porsche after claiming she was cut up by a truck… and on that occasion she claimed there was a manufacturing problem with the vehicle.

But when tests were carried out after the crash, the breaks were found to be working fine.
