Photos: At home with Jewel and her adorable son, Kase

On Nov. 16, beloved singer, songwriter, children’s book author and new mom, Jewel, gave fans a “behind-the-scenes” glimpse at the singer’s Texas ranch home as shared with them her most cherished beautiful morning moments as a mother with her 14-month-old son, Kase.

The star partnered with Pampers to pay homage to the “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments”  and to engage parents and tiny tots across the nation in an exclusive acoustic sing-along and “live” reading of her recently released children’s book, “That’s What I’d Do.” The interactive session was held exclusively on Pampers Facebook page.

She also shared her favorite beautiful moments of being a mom. Here is what she had to say….

ON MORNINGS

”I’m excited to partner with Pampers to celebrate beautiful mornings. The morning is my favorite time with my baby. I thought it was just me and Kase. I just thought, ‘Wow, Kase is always in a great mood in the morning.’ Then I talked to other moms and realized its every moms favorite time with their baby. It’s something kind of magical – they are just in a good mood, they got a great nights sleep and it’s just fun to hang out with them.”

ON HER MOST BEAUTIFUL MORNING

“One of my favorite morning moments with Kase is getting to read with him. It’s amazing to me how one day to the next he’ll learning something new.”

ON SPECIAL MILESTONES WITH HER BABY

”There’s the big ones. The first time he smiled. And the first time he was able to sing a note back to me back. It amazed me.”

ON PARENTING

”My best advice for parents trying to balance life and busy schedules is to try and cut yourselves some slack. As parents we hold ourselves to high standards and I think we’re always worried and we feel guilty like we’re not doing enough. All you can do is the best you can. As long as you love your kids and give them that stability, then they’re pretty accommodating.”

ON THANKSGIVING

“My Thanksgiving Day plans are pretty mellow. I think we’re going to order food in. I think we’re not even going to cook. There’s a great place in town that make home-cooked Thanksgiving Day meals, so I think we’re going to have an easy one. We might even do paper plates!”

As a FYI, through December 7, 2012, parents are also being given the chance to win daily prize packs poised to enhance beautiful mornings together with their baby – complete with ‘must-haves’ like digital cameras, story books, diapers, wipes and more. One grand prize recipient will be selected to win a $5,000 gift card that can be applied to “designing” their family’s ideal beautiful morning moment. Parents can participate by visiting the Pampers Facebook Page  and clicking on the Pampers “30 Days of Prizes” tab.

Interview: Eli Manning on being a dad and his plans for more children

Just 14 months ago, superstar athlete Eli Manning and his wife Abby welcomed his first child into their family, a beautiful daughter named Ava.

And this Father’s Day, he revealed that it was even more significant to him, as he sees his precious girl growing up before his eyes.

We caught up with the Giants quarterback at the Pampers ® pay homage to all the “Most Valuable Dads”, where he was throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in the NY Mets versus Cincinnati Reds match at Citifield.

“It’s great being a dad and watching her grow up, ” he told us. “It’s challenging and rewarding and this year has been even better than the last because she’s a little older.”

“It’s been a lot of fun, ” he adds.

As to how he keeps his private life separate from that of his life in the public eye as an athlete, he admits that it can be challenging.

“When I’m playing football, then I concentrate on that,” he says. “When I’m being a dad, then i focus on spending all my time on Ava.

“It’s always going to be challenge separating them, ” he says.

But a hands-on dad he is, revealing that the last time he changed a diaper was last Friday afternoon.

And, he revealed that he will do whatever his little girl wants.

“If she wants to play dress ups, then I’ll dress up,” he said with a laugh.

When a toddler at the event asked him about the prospect of adding more children to his family, he said: “We plan on having to have more kids, my wife and are just figuring it out now, but there’s nothing on the horizon just yet.”

He certainly did seem like the doting dad as he took to the field – this time a baseball field – with Ava in tow.

Together, father and daughter interacted with players during family-friendly, on-field activities.  With Ava on his arm, Manning threw a strike to Mets Third Baseman, David Wright, who was honored to play catcher to his favorite football team’s all-star quarterback.

Pampers is continuing the celebration of dads beyond Father’s Day. Beginning June 20th, families can log on to the Pampers Facebook page and visit the “Most Valuable Dad” tab for a chance to win exciting prizes for dads and their little sluggers. For more information, click here.

Photos: A NYC play date with Victor Cruz (NY Giants), Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men) & Team USA Olympian Kerri Walsh

Pampers, the world-renowned brand of baby diapers, has partnered with two-time Olympic Games Gold Medalist and Team USA Hopeful, Kerri Walsh, to celebrate every baby’s unique spirit of play and the brand’s sponsorship of the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games.

Kerri, and her sons (Joseph, age 3, and Sundance, age 2) were on-hand alongside Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman and his little one (daughter Brooklyn, age 2) and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and his daughter (Kennedy, age 5 months) as they celebrated this unique spirit of play at “Pampers Spirit of Play Date”, an event filled with fun, athletic activities designed to honor the littlest of champions and amp up team pride in advance of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman shared with us details about life on the road, and the release of the band’s new album ‘Twenty’ to mark their 20th anniversary together.

Despite being together for so long, Shawn explains that the trio never tire of performing live.

“Being on stage is in or blood; it what we love,” he says.

And when asked if the three ever fight, he laughed, saying: “We all bicker from time-to time. We are three strong-minded, passionate people and sometimes we clash. But at the end of the day, we are like brothers.”

He played a major role in the Superbowl victory, and NY Giants star Victor Cruz’s face still lights up when asked about the team’s earlier this year. Was it the best moment of his life?

“It’s definitely one of  amazing things that has ever happened to me, ” he says with a huge grin on his face. “It’s up their with the birth of my daughter. It was exciting and there was so much adrenalin. It was just one of those moments that you will never forget.”

Someone who is used to the exhilarating feeling of winning, is two-time Olympic Games Gold Medalist and Team USA Hopeful, Kerri Walsh.

The one thing we were struck by when we met her, was her washboard abs, and we couldn’t  help but seek some advice on how to get bikini-ready.

With an air of calmness that comes rom spending so much time on the beach as a beach volleyball player and away from the rat race of the city, she said: “It’s my job to stay in shape, and I have to be in a bikini all the time. I love my job, so it’s not a bad side effect.”

She added: “But in terms of getting into shape, always try running in the sand, if you can as it help shed more pounds, and try to play games like volleyball as it is fun and doesn’t feel like you are working out.”
